NEET College Predictor
Check your expected admission chances in MD/MS/Diploma courses based on your NEET PG Score
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) declared the result of NEET PG 2025 exam on August 19 for over 2 lakh students who appeared for the postgraduate exam. The NEET PG 2025 result has caused a lot of anger among medical students in India, as many have noticed big differences between the scores they expected and the scores they actually received. This NEET PG 2025 marks discrepancy is gaining attraction and has once again raised the need for the release of answer key of NEET PG by NBE.
According to the latest announcements, MCC will begin the NEET PG choice locking today from 4 PM onwards on the official website, mcc.nic.in.

This NEET PG marks discrepancy was also noticed in 2024, but many claimed that it was because of the normalisation factor which was implemented because of the multiple-shift exam. This year however, the NEET PG 2025 exam was conducted in a single shift, which removes the normalisation factor from this marks discrepancy. Based on various NEET PG 2025 recalls, most of the students were expecting higher marks than what they actually got. This article explores the NEET PG 2025 marks discrepancy controversy, candidate experiences, potential causes, and ongoing efforts for transparency.
Many candidates across social media platforms like “Reddit” and “X” are claiming that their scores have reduced significantly in the NEET PG result 2025. This discrepancy in NEET PG marks 2025 is ranging from 50 to 200 marks compared to their expected marks based on the various recalls and unofficial answer keys.

Below are some of the reasons due to which this discrepancy in NEET PG marks 2025 might have been occurred -
Some candidates reported technical issues during the NEET PG 2025 exam day. Several candidates reported mid-exam computer glitches, due to which their marked responses might not have been recorded by the system.
NBEMS follows a Non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which disallows candidates to share any kind of information related to the questions asked in the exam. However, based on anonymous students' reviews, various coaching institutes release the NEET PG recall questions. These unofficial NEET PG recalls are the only option left for students to evaluate their performance. However, there are high chances of these recalls being inaccurate, and students may not have scored as much as they were expecting.
This discrepancy in the NEET PG 2025 marks has impacted the trust of students in the NBE. The absence of a NEET PG answer key or challenge process has led to widespread calls for transparency. The controversy has deepened the distrust of the students in the NBE’s exam process, with many speculating foul play.

The NBE’s strict NDA, which prohibits discussing exam questions, is further adding fuel to this fire. The NBE could simply dismiss these discrepancy complaints based on the recall questions by citing the NDA.
File RTIs: Candidates can attempt to file RTIs through the official portal and demand for the NEET PG answer key. If NBE provides the recorded response and answer key for NEET PG 2025, it can clear the confusion of this discrepancy in marks.
Explore legal options: The best way to bring transparency in the NEET PG exam is to seek legal options. The Supreme Court of India had earlier directed NBE to publish raw scores, answer keys, and normalisation process for transparency in multi-shift NEET PG exam. However, this time NBE conducted the exam in a single shift, avoiding the Supreme Court judgement. Students can once again file a petition for the release of answer keys in the single-shift NEET PG exam too.

Hello aspirant,
With a rank of 1760 in the NTRUHS PG management quota (B-category) and belonging to the AU region, getting a clinical seat is possible but mostly in the mid or lower-demand branches. High-demand clinical courses like Radiology, Dermatology and General Medicine generally close at much lower ranks, but seats in branches such as ENT, Opthalmology, Psychiatry, Anesthesia or General Surgery may still be available depending on this year's vacancy movement during later rounds. Keep track of round - wise allotments for clearer chances.

Hope it helps.
Hello,
With an All India rank of around 82,471 and UP state rank around 4,633 , your chances for MS Surgery in government colleges are very low. You may get a seat in private or deemed colleges , mainly in UP. Chances in other states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu are lower due to domicile rules and local quota preference.
Choice filling strategy:
Top: Private/deemed colleges in UP for Surgery.
Backup: Other clinical branches (Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmology) in private/deemed colleges.
Safe: Non-clinical or less competitive branches in private/deemed colleges.
Tips:
Check fees, bond, and stipend before choosing.
Be flexible with branch and college to secure a seat.
You have a non-zero chance if you focus on private/deemed colleges and plan your choices wisely.
Hope it helps !
