The Rajasthan Pre-Veterinary Test (RPVT) is a state-level exam through which admissions are granted to BVSc & AH courses across the veterinary colleges in Rajasthan. For the 2024 session, the RPVT was merged into NEET UG and therefore the RPVT 2024 admissions were determined on the basis of NEET 2024 scores. The RPVT 2024 qualifying cutoff for general category was 720-164.

    RPVT Cut off 2024

The cutoff for RPVT 2024 exam represents the minimum NEET scores and ranks required for admission to the undergraduate veterinary courses in the veterinary colleges of Rajasthan. Since the RPVT exam was integrated with the NEET UG, the admission process for 2024 relied entirely on the NEET results instead of a separate state-level examination. Understanding the RPVT cutoff helps students evaluate their chances of securing a seat and plan their preparation strategy for future veterinary admissions. RPVT cutoff 2024 and NEET based admission

Since RPVT 2024 admissions were entirely based on the NEET cutoff. Candidates who achieved scores equal to above the NEET qualifying percentile were considered. For general category, the RPVT 2024 cutoff was 720-162, for SC/ST/OBC category the RPVT cutoff 2024 was 161-127. The cutoff for RPVT 2024 for general-PH category was 161-144, for SC/OBC-PH was 143-127 and for ST-PH was 142-127.

For the seat allotments, the authority considered the merit ranks, availability of seats and category-wise reservation. Candidates achieving the RPVT 2024 cutoff had better chances of obtaining a seat in their preferred veterinary college in Rajasthan.

Why is understanding the RPVT cutoff important?

The RPVT cutoff plays an important role in the admission process. Selection of candidates for available seats in veterinary colleges is based on the cutoff of RPVT exam. For 2024, as the admissions were carried out using NEET scores, the RPVT cutoff was not separately released. For aspirants knowing the RPVT cutoff trends is essential as it provides clarity about the competition level and helps them about the future aspects.

Factors influencing the RPVT 2024 cutoff

While the RPVT 2024 cutoff was not released as a separate set of marks and the allotments were done based on the NEET UG scores, the admissions under the state’s veterinary college were influenced by several factors.

    • Number of applicants: The higher the number of applicants, the more competitive the admission process becomes. This ultimately leads to higher RPVT cutoff marks.

    • Difficulty level of NEET: Since the admissions were NEET-based, the overall difficulty level of NEET 2024 exam had a direct impact on the RPVT cutoff.

    • Seat availability: Veterinary colleges in Rajasthan have a limited number of BVSc & AH seats. The availability of these seats compared to the number of applicants directly influenced the cutoff.

    • Reservation policies: The cutoff varies for different categories due to state and central reservation policies. Candidates belonging to reserved categories have a separate and lower cutoff than the general category candidates.
