The NEET UG exam is once again surrounded by controversy. As per various media reports, the Madhya Pradesh High Court has modified its May 16 order by allowing NTA to announce NEET 2025 results for all centres. However, the court has put a hold on NEET results in the affected centres in Madhya Pradesh's Indore. On May 16, 2025, the Indore Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court issued a temporary order to stop the announcement of NEET UG 2025 results due to a power outage in exam centres in Indore. This raised significant concerns among the nearly 20.8 lakh candidates, who are waiting for their results, leading to a common question: Will the NEET 2025 results be delayed? In this article, we have provided a comprehensive detail on will NEET 2025 result be postponed, factors, and much more.

As per media reports, the Madhya Pradesh HC has modified its previous order and put a stop to the announcement of NEET UG 2025 results in affected exam centres only. With the revised order, the NEET results 2025 will be announced by NTA by or before June 14, 2025. A petition was filed in Madhya Pradesh High Court regarding exam interruptions caused by a power failure at a NEET exam centre in Indore on May 4. More than 600 students had to give the exam in low lighting conditions. The petitioner was seeking either a NEET re-exam or some form of relief for the affected students.
The court has expressed unhappiness with the NTA and the Union of India for failing to comply with previous orders and has requested a response by June 30, 2025. This hold on the result could affect all NEET UG candidates, as the expected NEET 2025 result release date is June 14, 2025.
As per Times of India, the Madras High Court has ordered an interim stay on the declaration of NEET results 2025. A petition has been filed by 13 students who alleged that their NEET exam, held on May 4, was disrupted in the Chennai centre due to heavy rainfall and power cuts. According to students, the NEET exam conducted in Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya CRPF, Avadi, Chennai was disrupted due to a power outage and heavy rainfall. Aspirants had to write under poor lighting conditions, which mentally affected the candidates. On the issue, the Madras HC has stayed NEET UG 2025 results and has directed the NTA to submit its response before the NEET 2025 result announcement scheduled for June 14. The next hearing will be held on June 2, 2025.

The chances of the NEET 2025 result being postponed are high since the court has ordered the NTA not to announce the result until the next court hearing in mid-June 2025. Last year, due to the NEET 2024 paper leak controversy, NTA had to conduct the NEET re-exam. While the Madhya Pradesh High Court has issued a temporary order that stops the announcement of results until the next hearing, various factors will influence whether the NEET 2025 results will be delayed or not.
The MP High Court has given a deadline of June 30, 2025, for the NTA to submit a reply to the petition. If NTA provides a solution for the affected students, the court might lift the stay on the NEET 2025 result announcement, reducing the delay. Alternatively, if the NTA does not deliver a sufficient response, the court can delay the NEET result date 2025 even further.
The court's ruling on the delay of NEET 2025 results doesn't clarify if the stay is limited to just the affected exam centre or the complete NEET UG 2025 result. If the stay in NEET result is only for the affected students, the NTA might announce the NEET result as per the specified schedule and declare the result of affected students later. However, this can affect the complete result of the NEET 2025 exam.
The NEET UG 2025 controversy has attracted a lot of attention, with posts on X showcasing student dissatisfaction and demands for clarity. The increasing pressure from students, parents, and political factions may force the NTA and the government to come to a solution, which could potentially delay the announcement of the NEET 2025 results.
The Madhya Pradesh High Court’s ruling can have significant implications on the NEET UG exam. Some of the implications of this order are as follows:
Delay in Result Declaration: The court has issued a temporary stay that prevents the NTA from announcing results until the next hearing, which is about four weeks from now. This indicates that NTA can’t declare the result till June 16, 2025.
Impact on Candidates: With around 20.8 lakh students appearing for the NEET 2025 exam, the uncertainty about when the results will be announced has led to significant anxiety. Many students, who have dedicated years to their preparation, may have to wait due to the delay in NEET result 2025.
Counselling and Academic Calendar: The NEET UG counselling is conducted in multiple rounds and if the result is delayed, then the counselling process may take longer than the expected time. Due to this, the academic calendar might be delayed.
NTA’s Credibility: The NTA has been questioned several times in the past for its management of NEET exams. The 2024 NEET UG exam faced several challenges, such as paper leaks, logistical issues, which have raised several questions on the NTA’s and government’s credibility due to the claims of corruption and irregularities. If this happens again, this will badly damage the image of NTA.

Hi dear candidate,
Although NEET and paramedical courses (nursing, lab tech etc.) share same core subjects of PCB but the syllabus for NEET is NOT identical with that of paramedical exams as they require extra sections of GK and aptitude that is beyond NEET.

Hello Yashpal
Your plan to shift from online BCA to regular MCA is completely valid and acceptable. The gap years taken for NEET preparation will not affect MCA admission.
You should first try government colleges through exams like NIMCET or CUET-PG for better fees and placements. Top options include NITs, University of Hyderabad, JNU, and Delhi University.
If not, good private choices are VIT, Manipal, SRM, Amrita, and Christ University. Choose a college based on placements, fees, and industry exposure, not just the name.
Hope it helps you, and if you face any other query, you can raise your question directly. We are here to assist you with the best.

Hello,
To secure a NEET All India Rank (AIR) under 19,000, you generally need to score around 540-560 marks in NEET. In AIATS (Aakash All India Test Series), this usually corresponds to being consistently in the top 2,000-2,500 ranks nationally.
