Following the announcement of re NEET result, the NTA has released the official statistics which mentions the number of candidates who secured 720 marks in the undergraduate medical entrance examination. The highest score in NEET this year is 715 and not 720. These candidates have answered all questions correctly in the exam and have achieved the perfect score. The final All India Rank has been prepared by following the tie-breaking policy as prescribed in the information bulletin.

Candidates can check the re NEET 2026 cutoff from the table below. Candidates securing marks equal to or more than the re NEET cutoff 2026 are qualified for the medical entrance examination.

If more than one candidate secures the maximum score in re NEET exam, the NTA prepares the merit list by applying the tie-breaking criteria. The re NEET 2026 result tie-breaking rules helps determine the final ranking among candidates with same marks. Candidates who score 720 may still receive different All India Ranks depending on the tie-breaking rules. The re NEET 2026 tie-breaking policy is provided below.
The candidate with higher marks or percentile in Biology is given preference.
If the tie remains, the candidate with higher marks or percentile in Chemistry is placed higher in the merit list.
If tie is still unresolved, the candidate with higher marks or percentile in Physics is considered first.
If the tie continues, preference is given to the candidate with a lower ratio of incorrect answers to correct answers across all subjects.
If required, the lower ratio of incorrect to correct answers in Biology is considered next.
If the tie still persists, the lower ratio of incorrect to correct answers in Chemistry is used.
Next, the lower ratio of incorrect to correct answers in Physics is taken into account.
If all the above criteria fail to break the tie, the final ranking is decided through a random selection process conducted under the supervision of an independent expert committee.
