JSS University Mysore Allied Sciences 2026
NAAC A+ Accredited| Ranked #21 in University Category by NIRF | Applications open for multiple UG & PG Programs
Allied health courses like medical lab technology, radiology, and cardiovascular technology open doors to real jobs, but the fee for a 4-year degree can feel heavy for many families. This is exactly where financial support matters. Emversity, which works with 22+ NAAC-accredited partner universities to run its EDGE degree programmes (B.Sc degree) in healthcare, helps make these courses more reachable for deserving students. If you're planning to apply for the July/August 2026 intake, here's what you should know about scholarships and financial support before you begin your application.

Emversity itself does not run a single university-wide scholarship scheme. Instead, financial concessions and scholarship options are offered by the individual partner universities where Emversity's BSc allied health sciences programme is delivered. This means the scholarship amount, eligibility, and process can differ from one campus to another.

Since scholarships sit with the partner university, they generally fall into a few common categories. Here's a simple breakdown:
Scholarship Type | Who It's For |
Merit-based | Students with strong Class 12 marks or entrance test scores |
Need-based | Students from economically weaker backgrounds |
Category-based | SC/ST/OBC and other reserved-category students, as per university norms |
Special circumstances | First-generation learners, single-parent households, etc. (varies by campus) |
Not every category is available at every partner university, and the exact benefit (fee waiver percentage, one-time grant, or hostel concession) is decided by that institution. Always confirm the live scholarship list for your chosen campus with your Emversity admissions counsellor before you pay any fee.
Before you even think about a scholarship, you need to meet the basic course eligibility. For most allied health courses under Emversity's EDGE track:
You should have passed Class 12 with Biology (Science stream is generally required).
A minimum aggregate score is expected- commonly around 50 per cent, though this can vary slightly by university and category.
Scholarship eligibility on top of this (merit cut-off, income proof, category certificate) is set independently by each partner university.
If you're aiming for a merit scholarship, higher Class 12 marks generally improve your chances. If you're applying for a need-based concession, you'll usually need supporting income documents.
The process is fairly simple and runs alongside your regular admission application:
Apply for your EDGE programme (BSc degree)- Fill the Emversity application form online for your chosen allied health course (CVT, BSc MLT, BSc MRIT, BSc OT Technology, etc.).
Talk to your admissions counsellor- Ask specifically about scholarship or fee-concession options at the partner university you're being placed in.
Eligibility for Scholarships- Check the scholarship eligibility for your selected Emversity partner university.
Submit the Required Documents- Share the required documents, forms or certificates for verification if asked by the admission coordinator.
Verify Approval- After the documents verification, the scholarship is adjusted in the allied health courses fees before the admission.
Candidates are advised to clearly discuss the scholarship scheme's availability prior to their application process because there is no such information available right now on the official website. However, some universities offering the allied health sciences programmes might be offering scholarships and some might not be.
The following are the basic documents needed by the university offering scholarships:
Marksheet (Class 10 and Class 12)
Aadhar Card or Other Valid ID
Passport Size Photo
Income Certificate (For Need based scholarship eligible candidates)
Category Certificate (For Category based scholarships)
Details of Bank Account for refunding fee or crediting scholarship
Apart from these documents, some universities may require other documents as well. So it is better to confirm with your admission coordinator.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Not as a single Emversity-wide scheme. Scholarships and fee concessions come from the specific partner university where your EDGE programme is delivered, so the options differ by campus.
Hardly ever. In most offered scholarship schemes only a portion of the fee is reduced instead of entirely covering the fees. The amount of fee reduced is based on the selected Emversity partner university and type of the scholarship.
Merit scholarship cut-offs are set by each partner university, so it depends on where you're placed. Talk to your admissions counsellor to know the exact cut-off for your campus.
Income certificate and other proof need to be submitted as specified by the Emversity partner university for getting the need based scholarship. Availability varies by campus, so confirm during your application.
It is better to apply with your application or before confirming your admission into the Emversity BSc course in allied health sciences.
