The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET UG 2025 exam was conducted on May 4, 2025. As per media reports, over 20.8 lakh students appeared in NEET in 566 exam centres across India and abroad. The exact data on how many students appeared in NEET UG 2025 will be released by NTA along with the declaration of NEET results.
The NTA will release the detailed statistics, including the total number of appeared candidates, category-wise, gender-wise, as well as state-wise, on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. However, compared to last year, there is a slight decrease. As per the previous year's data, over 23 lakh candidates appeared for NEET UG exam. The single largest medical entrance exam in India, NEET, is conducted by NTA for admission in medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and nursing. As many as over 20.8 lakh students appeared in NEET 2025. The exact number of candidates who appeared in NEET 2025 will be available soon at neet.nta.nic.in. Around 22.8 lakh students filled the NEET application form 2025. The NEET UG 2025 was held in offline mode from 2 PM to 5 PM. Last year, a total of 23,33,297 candidates appeared for the NEET 2024, out of which 9,98,205 were male, 13,34,940 female and 17 third gender candidates. The NTA releases the number of qualified candidates on the official website along with the NEET results. Last year, as many as 1,315,853 candidates qualified for the NEET. Hey, as with the limitation of your number that is 190 it can be difficult to find colleges according to your interest but there is a chance that can effect your ability to find those colleges whose cut off can be really low which will be determined by getting the results in the next season of the next year now there is a possibility of huge options in the private sector as well

The MGM CET is not a requirement for admission into MBBS courses. All MBBS admissions in India including the MGM Instittue of Health Sciences (Deemed University) take place only through NEET UG per the NMC (National Medical Commission) and their direction. Admission is based on NEET rank through either the MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) or deemed university counselling process.
