The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) is the single largest medical entrance examination in India. Through the NEET UG exam, admission to several undergraduate courses like MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH. Over the years, NEET UG registration has seen an upward trend in the number of registered students. This trend was expected to rise for NEET 2025 too, however, NEET UG registration trends 2025 have seen a slight downward trend.
NBE has reduced the NEET PG cut off for all categories. The revised NEET PG 2025 cut off is as follows: Unreserved (UR) candidates require the 7th percentile, which is 103 marks; SC/ST/OBC candidates have a 0th percentile, equivalent to -40 marks; and UR-PWD candidates need the 5th percentile, which is 90 marks.

As per several media sources, the total registrations in NEET 2025 has dropped by 1 lakh and over 23 lakh students have filled the NEET application form 2025.
The NEET UG exam has seen a consistent rise in registrations over the years. The data indicates a consistent upward trajectory in registrations from 2021 to 2024, with an increase of approximately 791,302 candidates. However, NEET 2025 registrations have dropped by about 106,079 candidates compared to 2024. The year-wise data of NEET UG exam registration is provided below.
