UP MBBS Admission 2018 – Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Lucknow is conducting UP MBBS 2018 admission. The merit list for round two has been released on August 6, 2018. The document verification session for round two was conducted from August 3 to August 7, 2018. The last date to register for admission to UP MBBS 2018 was extended till July 18, 2018. The registration for the second round of counselling started on July 13, 2018.

DMET has conducted the counselling for round one from July 2 to July 5. The result of the first round of counselling was issued on July 6, 2018 in the form of seat allotment letter. The merit list of UP NEET 2018 was released on June 25, 2018, along with document verification schedule for candidates whose names have appeared in the merit list. Uttar Pradesh UG Medical Admission process started on June 20, 2018, with the release of the application form. The conducting body also earlier released the information brochure for admission to medical and dental courses. The mode of application form for UP MBBS admission 2018 was online. The registration window was open until June 24, 2018, for admission to UP MBBS 2018.

DMET has released a government order which states the eligibility criteria and the admission process. After submitting UP MBBS application form 2018, candidates will be required to participate in the document verification session. If the candidates’ documents are verified successfully, then they will be invited for UP MBBS 2018 counselling session wherein they will be allotted seats for UP MBBS admission 2018.
There are more than 6,000 seats available for UP MBBS admission 2018. The authorities will not be taking an entrance examination and the admission to UP MBBS 2018 will be taken through NEET UG. Therefore, it becomes mandatory to at least score the cutoff marks in NEET 2018. DMET has been published the merit list for round two on August 6. The merit list for UP MBBS admission 2018 has been made available only in online mode. Aspirants must note that the merit list includes only those candidates who have filled UP MBBS application form 2018. The inclusion does not ensure a seat for UP MBBS admission 2018. The candidates will be required to attend document verification and counselling session thereafter. There will be no individual communication made to the candidates about the release of UP MBBS merit list 2018. The list will be a collective data of all the applicants of UP MBBS admission 2018. The candidates will be provided with a state merit rank on the basis of NEET 2018 score. UP MBBS 2018 admission seekers must make a note of this rank as they will be called for document verification session according to their position in UP MBBS merit list 2018.
The second round of UP MBBS counselling will begin from August 10, 2018. UP MBBS counselling 2018 for round one was conducted from July 2 to July 5, 2018. The counselling is held in online mode. Since DMET is the counselling conducting body for 85% State Quota seats available in Uttar Pradesh state, the candidates are advised to make a careful note of the whole counselling procedure for UP MBBS admission 2018. There are approximately 6,171 seats available in medical and dental colleges for UP MBBS counselling 2018. There are two rounds of counselling and a mop-up will be conducted which is subject to availability of seats. The candidates are advised to choose colleges according to their NEET score 2018 considering that UP MBBS admission 2018 will be taken on the basis of merit and preference.
UP MBBS BDS Eligibility Criteria 2018
Aspirants must check the eligibility criteria for admission to UP MBBS 2018. All the criterion stated below are necessary to appear in the counselling sessions of UP MBBS 2018.
The candidates who have appeared and qualified NEET 2018 are eligible for UP MBBS admission 2018.
The candidates need to register themselves by filling UP MBBS application form 2018.
To become eligible, the candidates should be a domicile of UP state for which they need to fulfil one of the below-mentioned norms-
Indian citizen whose father’s resident/origin is Uttar Pradesh state and himself/herself is a resident of the state.
Indian citizen or his/her parent/s are a resident of Uttar Pradesh state for not less than three years.
Indian citizen who is a child/ward of an Indian Government employee.
Indian citizen who is residing in a foreign country but his/her forefathers were residents of the state of Uttar Pradesh.
The candidates who have completed Class 10 and Class 12 from the state do not need to be the resident of the state.
The candidates who have completed Class 10 or Class 12 from the state must show their parent/s permanent resident located in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
The candidates who have not completed Class 10 or 12 from the state must fulfil the above mentioned one of the domicile criteria.
The candidates need to pass in English, Chemistry, Physics and Biology in Class 12 or equivalent examination.
The candidates need to score at least 50% in Chemistry, Physics and Biology in aggregate in Class 12 or equivalent examination if belonging to unreserved category. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category, scoring at least 40% is mandatory whereas for PH candidates belonging to unreserved category should score a minimum of 45%.
UP MBBS application form for round two has been released on July 13, 2018 and the last date to register has been extended till July 18, 2018. An online form will be released which must be submitted by the candidates before the last date of UP MBBS application form 2018. The academic and personal details as provided in NEET application form 2018 must be filled by the candidates. The applicants successfully filling the UP MBBS application form 2018 will be included in the rank list. The application process for UP MBBS admission 2018 for round one started on June 20, 2018. The candidates were given a week’s time to register themselves for UP MBBS 2018 admission.

The candidates who have registered themselves need to be physically present for document verification session in which they are required to show the given below documents in original copies along with the printout copy of UP MBBS application form 2018 –
