Male candidates need to wear half-sleeved shirts or T-shirts without big buttons.
As per the NTA’s NEET attire restrictions, full-sleeved shirts, jackets, or layered clothing are prohibited.
Only light-colored clothes are preferable for male students appearing for NEET 2025 exam

Male candidates should wear simple trousers or pants.
Male students are advised to avoid jeans with multiple pockets, zippers, or decorative elements.
Kurta-pajama is also not permitted for male students.
Only slippers or sandals with thin soles are allowed.
Shoes, boots, or closed footwear are prohibited for male students in NEET 2025.
Female candidates appearing for the NEET 2025 exam are also required to follow certain NEET 2025 exam attire regulations set by the NTA. These NEET UG exam attire guidelines by NTA for female candidates are provided below.
As per the NEET 2025 attire code for females, only half-sleeved tops or kurtas are allowed.
Full-sleeved tops, attirees, or any clothing with big buttons, embroidery, or prints are not allowed.
Female candidates are advised to avoid layers or additional clothing such as shawls, dupattas, or scarves.
As per the NEET exam attire for females, a Salwar, simple trousers, or leggings are allowed.
Heavy embroidered skirts or lehengas are not permitted for female students in NEET 2025 exam.
Only slippers or open-toed sandals with thin soles are permitted.
High heels, shoes, and closed footwear are prohibited.
Jewellery and Ornaments: Candidates should avoid wearing rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, nose pins, or any metallic items. Expensive jewellery should be avoided for security reasons.
Hair Accessories: Hairbands, rubber bands with metal parts, or elaborate hair accessories are not allowed. Simple rubber bands or pins may be used if necessary.
Religious and Cultural Attire: Candidates who wear traditional or religious attire (such as a burqa, turban, or kada) must report to the exam centre at least an hour before the scheduled time for additional security checks.
Watches and Electronic Gadgets: Smartwatches, digital watches, fitness bands, and any other electronic devices are strictly prohibited. Candidates should refrain from carrying mobile phones, calculators, or Bluetooth devices.
Candidates who wear traditional clothing, such as a Turban, Hijab, or Burqa, need to arrive by 12:30 PM with their NEET 2025 admit card to ensure proper security checks. Those who belong to a religion that requires specific attire can participate in the NEET 2025 exam dressed in their customary outfits.
According to a ruling from the Delhi High Court, Sikh candidates are permitted to bring their traditional kangha, Kara, and Kirpan. Additionally, female candidates are allowed to wear a burka. These items are recognised by the authorities as part of their traditional dress.
When filling out the NEET application form 2025, candidates are asked if they plan to wear traditional clothing that goes against the NEET 2025 dress code, and a reference image is provided. Candidates are required to indicate their intention to wear their NEET customary dress. The NEET application form usually opens in February and the last date is usually in March . The exam is generally held in May . The form is filled online on the official NTA NEET website.
For the SC category , you need at least 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in Class 12 to be eligible. The minimum age required is 17 years , and there is no upper age limit .
You can fill the NEET form only through the official NTA website when the registration starts.
