NEET UG 2026 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency on May 3, 2026 across India and abroad. To ensure smooth and transparency in the exam, the conducting body, NTA has introduced the NEET 2026 biometric verification system in the exam centres. However, during the verification process, there might be some biometric hurdles due to device failure, server issue or poor fingerprint quality. In such cases, candidates will be allowed to enter the exam hall by submitting a written undertaking at the exam centre.
For NEET 2026, NTA has issued an advisory for candidates facing biometric verification issues. Aspirants who are appearing for the entrance exam have to undergo biometric verification once they reach the exam centre. To carry out the verification process, the candidate’s fingerprint will be scanned at the entry point and matched with the NTA records to prevent cheating and impersonation. At the NEET 2026 exam centre, candidates will be required to undergo biometric attendance before entering the exam hall. During the process, the candidate's fingerprints and face will be scanned and matched with the official recorded data. In case any problem occurs or biometric authentication fails, aspirants can still be allowed to enter the exam centre and appear in the exam.

Candidates who failed biometric scans due to poor network, hardware issue or medical conditions, they need to submit a written undertaking at the exam centre in the presence of Centre Superintendent or Observer. Students must be noted that they reach the exam centre well ahead of time to finish this process smoothly.
The NTA has strictly instructed NEET 2026 exam centres that no biometric verification will take place between the exam hours, which is 2PM to 5PM. The advisory will allow candidates to write their exams peacefully without any disruption. During this time, no biometric verification will be done.
Following the verification failure due to server issue or unclear fingerprints, such candidates will be required to present a valid ID proof such as Aadhaar card or any identification supporting document before the observers and enter the exam centre.

During NEET UG registration , candidates must enter the PCB aggregate percentage (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and not the “Best of 5” percentage.
In your case, entering 90.8% instead of 89.2% is likely a calculation mistake rather than an eligibility issue, since both are above the required cutoff
