NTA has made it mandatory to upload live photos in NEET 2026 application form. NEET 2026 live photo is the real time photograph of the applicant that should be captured and uploaded while filling the application form. As per the live photo guidelines for NEET 2026 application form, the photo needs to be matched with the photograph as per the Aadhaar database. This feature has been mandated to avoid impersonation and fraud in the NEET application process. Along with the live photo, candidates need to upload all the documents required for NEET UG exam.
Candidates should adhere to the NEET rules and regulations while uploading the live photo and other documents. Not following the guidelines can be one of the NEET UG 2026 application rejection reasons. Check the live photo guidelines for NEET application form 2026 below.
Candidates have to upload his/her live photograph at the time of filling of the application form.
Face of the candidate must occupy at least 80 % of the frame.
Do not use any face coverings such as masks, caps, makeup, or accessories.

Complete the NEET 2026 registration
Complete the application form by submitting the all the required details
On the next page, live photo option will be displayed
Switch on the camera or connect the webcam to the device used for filling the NEET application form
If the device does not support webcam, candidates can scan on the QR code available on the right side of page with the mobile phone or table and capture and upload the live photo in NEET application form 2026
After uploading the live photo, candidates can upload all the other documents required for the NEET 2026 application form
Live photo in NEET 2026 application form needs to be matched with the photograph as per the Aadhar card database. If the live photographs captured by the candidates during the
NEET 2026 application process does not match with the photographs as per records available
with UIDAI or if candidate is using other identity verification than Aadhaar, such candidates are required to verify their identity by uploading a signed and attested certificate, along with a recent photograph duly certified by their School/College Principal or Headmaster/obtain attestation from a Class-I Gazetted Officer, such as Tehsildar, Revenue Officer, SDM, DM / Class-I Gazetted Officer of the Indian Embassy (for NRI candidates).
Candidates have to upload a passport and postcard-sized photograph, signature, and finger and thumb impression for NEET 2026 along with a live photo.
