    NEET 2026 Reporting Time: Exam Day Timeline

    The NEET exam day timeline 2026 has been released by NTA. The detailed overview of the exam day schedule can be checked in the NEET information bulletin. It is crucial for candidates to follow the NEET reporting time 2026 to prevent late entry confusion and potential disqualification issues.

    NEET Reporting Time at the Exam Centre

    Reaching the exam centre well in advance before the reporting time is important for a stress free entry. As candidates have to undergo security checks, biometric verification before entering the exam hall. It must be noted that candidates who arrive late after the reporting time will not be allowed to enter the exam centre.

    NEET 2026 Entry Closing Time

    The gate closing time of NEET 2026 is 1:30 PM. Candidates must adhere to the NEET gate closing timeline in order to prevent confusion or even denial of entry to the exam hall. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall after the gate closing time.

    NEET Admit Card Checking & Institutions

    Around 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM, candidates will be given brief instructions about the NEET exam including how to fill the OMR sheet, penalties for using unfair means and others. Along with instructions, the invigilators will check the admit cards of the candidates.

    Exam Booklet Distribution & Filing Details

    From 1:45 PM to 2 PM, the NEET test booklets will be distributed among the aspirants. Once the distribution is done, candidates will begin filling out the details in the booklet which include the name of the candidate, roll number, signature and others.

    NEET Start End Time

    The NEET 2026 exam will begin at 2 PM across the country. The exam is held offline and students have to solve the NEET question paper within the allotted time. Candidates have to darken the correct circle in the OMR sheet to fill their answer. No marks will be given to unattended answers.

    NEET Exam End Time

    The NEET exam will conclude at 5 PM. To avoid confusion, aspirants should finish and close their paper before 10 minutes. Last minute rush to fill answers often leads to mistakes. Candidates must be given a few minutes to review the exam paper and fill the missed questions, in case any.

    NEET 2026 Reporting Time for Candidates Wearing Customary Attire

    In NEET 2026, candidates are allowed to wear customary or religious attire to appear in the entrance exam. However, such candidates have to follow the customary dress code for NEET and report early at the exam centre to allow sufficient time for security checks and verification. As per the customary dress code, sikh candidates are allowed to carry traditional kangha, kara, and kirpan. While muslim girls can wear hijab or burqa in the NEET 2026.
