Maharashtra provides a 'Hilly Area Reservation' for medical admissions, mainly for MBBS courses. To qualify, candidates must have studied in schools located in hilly areas as per their parents' domicile.
However, for NEET PG (MDS) , there is no specific mention of hilly area reservation.

NEET PG
while continuing your current MD course in a private college. You are not required to discontinue the MD course before writing the exam. However, if you secure admission to another MD/MS/DNB course through NEET PG and wish to join it, you will need to officially resign from your current MD program.

If you've been allotted a seat in the NEET PG All India Quota (AIQ) stray vacancy round and choose not to accept it, consider the following:
Forfeiture of Security Deposit : Not joining the allotted seat will result in the loss of your security deposit.
Debarment from Future Exams : You will be barred from taking the NEET exam in the subsequent year.
Ineligibility for State Counselling : Data of candidates who have joined seats in Round 3 will be shared with state counselling authorities, and such candidates will be prohibited from participating in subsequent state counselling rounds.
Therefore, if you do not accept the seat allotted in the AIQ stray vacancy round, you will be ineligible to participate in your state's third round of counselling .
