The NTA on June 13 published a public notice stating that amid the controversy going around the NEET 2024 result, the authority will conduct the NEET re-exam for the 1563 candidates on June 23. Candidates will have an option to either sit for the NEET re-exam or else their revised NEET scorecards without the grace marks will be considered. The NEET re-exam result will be declared on June 30, 2024. Earlier the NEET grace marks given to 1563 students were cancelled.

Those who do not wish to take the NEET 2024 re-test will be given marks based on their performance on May 5. Due to the NEET result 2024 controversy, many were complaining about the increase in the NEET 2024 cutoff. To address this, NTA has clarified that the increase in the NEET cut-off score this year is due to the increased competition and the candidates' higher performance.

Several writ petitions were filed by candidates over the NEET grace marks 2024 highlighting concerns regarding the loss of exam time at certain exam centres during the NEET 2024 exam held on May 5, 2024. To address this NEET controversy 2024 NTA has clarified that a Grievance Redressal Committee comprising experts from the field of examinations was established.
In its NTA clarification on NEET 2024, the authority has mentioned that after reviewing factual reports from officials and CCTV footage from the relevant exam centres, affected candidates were compensated with neet grace marks 2024. In its view of the NEET 2024 latest news, the NTA also clarified that the NEET grace marks 2024 were given based on the formula established by the Hon'ble Apex Court in its judgment on June 13, 2018, in W.P. 551 of 2018.
A total of 1563 candidates were awarded compensatory marks for the time lost, resulting in revised marks ranging from -20 to 720. Notably, two candidates received scores of 718 and 719 marks respectively due to the compensatory marking.
67 NEET 2024 toppers received an All India Rank of 1. This unusual number of AIR 1 students raised concerns about the fair conductivity of the exam and the NEET 2024 paper leak. In its NTA latest update on NEET 2024, the authority has mentioned that the rise in candidates naturally resulted in an increase in high scorers due to a larger candidate pool. The number of candidates who took the exam in 2023 was 20,38,596, and this number increased to 23,33,297 in NEET 2024.
In NTA clarification on NEET 2024 authority mentions that they received 13,373 challenges regarding the provisional answer key for a Physics question. Due to discrepancies between the old and new editions of the NCERT textbook, the subject experts determined that two options should be considered correct for this question.
With the NTA press release neet 2024, it has come to light that out of the 67 candidates who achieved a perfect score of 720/720, 44 benefited from the revision in the Physics answer key, while 06 received NEET grace marks 2024.

The NTA released the NEET UG 2024 result 10 days before its scheduled date of June 14. Due to this many suspected that this early result declaration is to suppress the NEET scam 2024 news. In its NTA press release NEET 2024, the authority said that it has initiated legal proceedings against impersonators, and some cases have been filed by the State Police. NTA has unequivocally refuted any allegations of NEET paper leak.
