As of now, the exact date for re-NEET 2026 has not been officially announced by the NTA. However, discussions regarding the re NEET expected date 2026 have gained attention after concerns related to the exam paper leak surfaced online. With the rising concern of students and parents, the authority has decided to hand over the case to the Central Bureau of India for further investigation. The NTA told to co-operate with the CBI fully with all records, materials and any kind of assistance required by the authority.
In 2015, the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), which later became part of the NEET admission process, was re-conducted after serious allegations of paper leak and unfair practices emerged during the examination. Following these complaints, the matter reached the Supreme Court of India, which decided to cancel the original examination in order to protect the integrity and transparency of the medical entrance process. As a result, the AIPMT 2015 re-exam was conducted on July 25, 2015, across various centres in the country under stricter security.
NEET UG 2024 remained in controversy after allegations of paper leak, grace marks, and irregularities were reported from different examination centres across the country. Following multiple petitions filed in the Supreme Court, discussions regarding a possible re-examination gained national attention. However, instead of conducting a nationwide re-test, the NTA organised a re-exam only for 1,563 affected candidates who had initially received compensatory or grace marks due to loss of examination time. The NEET UG 2024 re-exam for these candidates was conducted on June 23, 2024.
