    Frisking in NEET 2026 is a mandatory process where all candidates have to undergo compulsory security checks before entry to the exam hall. The frisking process is carried out using highly sensitive metal detectors to prevent entry of restricted items inside the exam centre. For NEET 2026, candidates will only be allowed to enter the exam centre after completing all mandatory security and verification formalities.

    The NEET 2026 is scheduled for May 3, 2026. Over 22 lakh candidates are expected to appear in the exam.     Frisking in NEET 2026 specifies the security checking where every aspirant has to undergo mandatory screening before entering the exam hall using highly sensitive metal detectors.     Frisking in NEET UG 2026: Complete Exam Day Rules

    This year, the NTA has introduced several security measures to prevent cheating, paper leak and make sure exam is conducted fairly and hassle free. Candidates have to follow the set of guidelines and security checks outlined in the information bulletin. Check the NEET frisking process 2026 here.

    Security Check at the Entry Point

    Registered candidates who reach the NEET exam centre will be required to undergo security checking at the entrance gate. Male and female candidates will be frisked separately. During the frisking, security personnel use the highly sensitive metal detectors to ensure no candidate will take any prohibited items inside the examination hall.

    Separate Checking Points

    During the security procedure, male candidates will be frisked by male staff at the designed areas within the exam centre. While female candidates will be frisked by female security guards before entering the exam centre. It must be noted that any candidate found with restricted or suspicious items during the screening will not be allowed to appear in the exam unless they surrender the prohibited items to the security personnel.

    Allowing of NEET Documents

    Candidates will be required to carry mandatory documents such as NEET admit card 2026, a valid government ID proof, photographs, proforma and others as mentioned in the NEET information brochure by NTA. Aspirants must carry these documents to ensure the verification and security checks are done smoothly.

    Frisking in NEET 2026: Guidelines for Candidates Wearing Customary Dress

    Candidates appearing for the NEET 2026 will be allowed to wear customary dress or religious attires. However, candidates with customary dress must report to the examination centre at least 2 hours before the last reporting time to allow proper frisking and security checks smoothly. After proper frisking, candidates wearing turban, burqa or hijab will be allowed to enter the NEET exam centre. Students must note that no suspicious item should be taken inside the customary dress.     Yes, NEET is not mandatory for admission to Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) for the academic year 2026-27. However, from 2027-28 session, NEET UG will be compulsory for admission to BPT course.
