Registered candidates who reach the NEET exam centre will be required to undergo security checking at the entrance gate. Male and female candidates will be frisked separately. During the frisking, security personnel use the highly sensitive metal detectors to ensure no candidate will take any prohibited items inside the examination hall.
During the security procedure, male candidates will be frisked by male staff at the designed areas within the exam centre. While female candidates will be frisked by female security guards before entering the exam centre. It must be noted that any candidate found with restricted or suspicious items during the screening will not be allowed to appear in the exam unless they surrender the prohibited items to the security personnel.
Candidates will be required to carry mandatory documents such as NEET admit card 2026, a valid government ID proof, photographs, proforma and others as mentioned in the NEET information brochure by NTA. Aspirants must carry these documents to ensure the verification and security checks are done smoothly.
Candidates appearing for the NEET 2026 will be allowed to wear customary dress or religious attires. However, candidates with customary dress must report to the examination centre at least 2 hours before the last reporting time to allow proper frisking and security checks smoothly. After proper frisking, candidates wearing turban, burqa or hijab will be allowed to enter the NEET exam centre. Students must note that no suspicious item should be taken inside the customary dress.
