    As the NEET 2026 approaches, candidates come across the term UDID card. UDID card is applicable for the candidates applying under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category. NTA on January 5, 2026 released a NEET registration advisory, asking candidates to update their UDID cards.

    The documents required during the Re-NEET UG 2026 counselling are:

    • Re-NEET 2026 admit card
    • Re-NEET 2026 scorecard and rank card
    • Class 10 certificate (proof of date of birth)
    • Class 12 marksheet and passing certificate
    • Valid photo identity proof
    • Passport-size photographs
    • Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS), if applicable

The UDID card provides a unique identification number to persons with benchmark disabilities serving as a single and nationally accepted proof of disability.

    How to obtain a UDID card for NEET 2026 exam?

    To obtain the NEET 2026 UDID card, candidates have to follow the steps mentioned below.

    Step 1: Submit the application

    • Candidates need to visit the official website to apply for the UDID card: swavlambancard.gov.in.

    • Enter the details carefully in the UDID application form and submit.

    Step 2: Visit the selected Hospital/CMO Office

    • After submission, candidates have to regularly check their application status.

    • When the status shows “Submitted”, candidates are required to visit the UDID/Disability Certification Section of the hospital or CMO office selected while filling the form.

    • Follow up for verification or assessment scheduling.

    Step 3: Application verification

    • Candidates are required to get their application verified by the concerned hospital or medical authority.

    • If any correction is required, they must make the necessary changes as instructed.

    Step 4: Medical assessment

    • After verification, specialist doctor(s) are assigned to assess the candidate's disability.

    • Candidates are required to visit the hospital on the scheduled date for the assessment.

    • The doctors examine the condition and prepare a medical report.

    Step 5: Review by Medical Board

    • The Medical Board will review the report from the specialist doctors.

    • The board will decide the type and percentage of disability and approve the disability certificate.

    Step 6: UDID Card generation and dispatch

    • Once approved, the medical authority will generate the UDID card and disability certificate.

    • The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) will send the UDID card to the registered address via Speed Post.
