85% यूपी कोटा सीटों के लिए, उम्मीदवार को यूपी और यूपी एनसीआर क्षेत्र के भीतर यूपी विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त स्कूल से 10 + 2 मानक या इसके समकक्ष पूरा करना होगा।
अभ्यर्थियों को भौतिकी, रसायन विज्ञान और जीव विज्ञान के साथ 10 + 2 कक्षा उत्तीर्ण करना आवश्यक है और न्यूनतम 50% अंक (आरक्षित श्रेणी के छात्रों के लिए 45%) प्राप्त करना आवश्यक है।
