Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTR UHS), Vijayawada, has issued an important advisory regarding AP NEET Counselling 2026 for MBBS and BDS admissions for the 2026-27 academic session. This advisory includes revised rules related to web options or choice filling in the AP NEET counselling rounds 2026. Under the revised rules, candidates who are allotted a seat in one counselling round but do not join it will still be allowed to participate in further counselling rounds. This is a change from the earlier rule, under which candidates who did not join their allotted seat were not eligible for the next counselling round.

The key change announced by NTR UHS is that not joining an allotted seat will not prevent a candidate from participating in subsequent counselling rounds. Earlier if a candidate doesn’t join an allotted seat, the candidate was not eligible for participating in the upcoming rounds.
However, if a candidate does not wish to join an allotted seat, he/she will not be allowed to select the same college in the upcoming rounds. Although, candidates can choose other colleges based on their preferences at each stage of counselling.
AP NEET Counselling 2026 Choice Filling: No Limit in Selecting Preferences
NTR has also allowed candidates to enter as many MBBS and BDS colleges as they are interested in while submitting their choice preferences of colleges. Selecting more preferred colleges can increase the chances of securing a seat.
Candidates should enter their choices in the desired order of priority, with their most preferred college placed accordingly. The university has specifically advised students to make full use of the available web-options facility.
AP NEET UG Counselling 2026: Second Chance for Choice Filling
Candidates who are unable to submit their choices during the first phase can enter their choices in the subsequent rounds. The advisory also states that candidates have the facility to change the order of preference of colleges according to their choice.

A previously allotted college that the candidate did not join cannot be selected again in a subsequent round.
