Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery or BAMS is an undergraduate degree in the medical field. BAMS focuses on Ayurveda education which is based on the traditional Indian system of treatment along with modern medicine. In order to practice Ayurveda medicine, BAMS is the primary course. Admission to BAMS course is offered on the basis of NEET. However, many colleges enrol students without NEET.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET is a single national-level medical entrance examination for getting admission to 52,720 AYUSH seats offered by 914 AYUSH, and other colleges in India.
