    Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery or BAMS is an undergraduate degree in the medical field. BAMS focuses on Ayurveda education which is based on the traditional Indian system of treatment along with modern medicine. In order to practice Ayurveda medicine, BAMS is the primary course. Admission to BAMS course is offered on the basis of NEET. However, many colleges enrol students without NEET.

    National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET is a single national-level medical entrance examination for getting admission to 52,720 AYUSH seats offered by 914 AYUSH, and other colleges in India. BAMS admission without NEET is possible and medical colleges offer admission to students on the basis of 12th board exam results. Students who have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry & Biology by scoring a minimum of 50% marks (UR category) and 40% (reserved category) marks are eligible to take admission for BAMS without NEET.     What is the eligibility criteria for BAMS admission without NEET?

    In order to pursue BAMS course without NEET, candidates must have the following eligibility criteria to get admission in top BAMS colleges.

    • Aspirants must have cleared Class 12 from a recognised board in Physics, Chemistry & Biology.

    • Students should have obtained a minimum percentage of 50% marks in the above mentioned subjects (40% for reserved candidates).
