    "The suicide by a 17-year old student in Goa due to cancellation of the NEET exam is heartbreaking. Who is responsible for the loss of this young life? Will action be taken against those at the top, who are the ones actually responsible for this paper leak? I will be meeting the grieving family shortly, to express my condolences on this irreparable loss and stand with them in this difficult time."

    NEET photo requirements 2026

    As per the NEET photo requirements 2026, candidates have to upload a passport size photograph in the NEET application form in the specifications mentioned above. Name and date on NEET photo 2026 are not compulsorily required. However, this was mandatory previously. Candidates are advised to upload a NEET 2026 photograph with name and date mentioned on it to avoid complications.

    Photo specification for NEET 2026

    The NTA has clearly mentioned the NEET 2026 photo instructions in the information bulletin. The NEET 2026 photograph instructions as mentioned in the brochure can be checked below.

    • Passport size photograph should be either in colour or black and white.

    • 80% of the face (without mask) including ears should be visible.

    • Photograph should be taken against white background and after January 1, 2026 (recent).

    • NEET 2026 photograph should be between 10 KB to 200 KB.

    • Spectacles in the photograph are allowed only if a candidate is using it regularly.

    • Polaroid and computer-generated photographs are not acceptable.

    • NEET 2026 photographs need not be attested.
