For NEET UG 2026, before the exam day, there are two major events that aspirants must be aware of - NEET city intimation slip 2026, and NEET admit card 2026. Students should be aware of some rules they must follow before and on the exam day to avoid any problems.
1. NEET City Intimation Slip 2026
The city intimation slip of NEET is released first by the National Testing Agency. This slip tells students about which city their NEET 2026 exam centre will be in, but not the exact centre. It helps students in planning their travel in advance.
2. NEET 2026 Admit Card
After the city slip is released, the NEET admit card is released by NTA. Students can download their NEET UG admit card from the official website using their NEET application number and password. The admit card of NEET 2026 contains important details like the exact exam centre, reporting time, and instructions. Without the NEET 2026 hall ticket, candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.
NEET UG is the biggest medical entrance exam in India and hence there are some certain guidelines that students must follow on the exam day. During the exam day, candidates are allowed to carry certain things, while there are some things that should be avoided at all cost.
Students should keep these items ready a day before the exam to avoid last-minute stress. Make sure to carry all required documents, otherwise the entry to the exam hall may be denied.
Printed NEET 2026 admit card (preferably in colour)
Passport-size photograph (same as uploaded in the NEET 2026 application form)
A valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN card, Passport, etc.)
PwBD certificate (only if applicable)
Candidates are strictly prohibited from carrying these things at the exam centre. These items are strictly not allowed on the NEET 2026 exam day -
Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, earphones, or any other electronic gadget
Notes, books, or any written material
Food items
Heavy clothes, shoes, or jewellery
Try to reach the exam centre by 11:00 AM. The last entry is at 1:30 PM, after which no entry will be allowed inside the exam hall.
With just over a month left, students should now focus on revising their topics from time to time and focus on accuracy. Some of the tips that should be followed by students to excel in NEET 2026 exam are as following -
Revise NCERT thoroughly at least 2-3 times and solve every in-text and exercise question. Avoid any new topics now, focus more on the topics that you have studied till now.
Take at least 2 full-length mocks per week in exactly 2 to 5 PM timing. This will help students get used to this 3 hour time phase. Analyse the errors you are committing in the mock tests.
Based on the errors in the mock test, try to focus on weak areas. Go through the previous year question papers of NEET UG and spot the topics that are being repeatedly asked in the last few years.
Try to focus on time management. Biology is lengthy, hence try to improve the speed while solving Biology questions. For Physics & Chemistry, focus more on accuracy rather than speed.
