    As per the NEET 2026 dress code, candidates must follow a simple dress code.

    • Male students: Wear light, half-sleeve clothes with simple trousers. No shoes—only slippers or sandals.
    • Female students: Wear simple, light clothes like half-sleeve tops or kurtis with plain bottoms. No shoes—only slippers or sandals.

    Both should avoid jewellery, watches, caps, and any metal items.

    NEET Exam Dress Guidelines 2026 by NTA

    The NTA has also set a specific NEET 2026 dress code that must be followed by students. Without proper dress code, candidates might not be allowed to enter the exam hall. The NEET dress code guidelines for female and male candidates is provided below.

    • Female candidates should wear light-colored clothes with short sleeves to ensure comfort and avoid delays during frisking procedures.

    • Candidates must avoid wearing any jewellery or accessories such as earrings, rings, chains, or bracelets to prevent security issues.

    • Avoid long dresses, fancy outfits, or clothes with heavy embroidery, as they may lead to extra checking at the NEET UG exam centre.

    On the examination day, candidates need to report at their allotted NEET 2026 exam centres within the stipulated time. The reporting time is provided by the NTA in the NEET admit card 2026 and must be followed to reach the examination centre on time, as late entry may not be allowed.

    Important NEET 2026 Guidelines To Follow Inside the Exam Hall

    Once candidates have entered the exam hall, there are certain guidelines they must follow.

    • Candidates must not open the NEET 2026 question paper until instructed by invigilators, as doing so may lead to strict disciplinary action.

    • Use only the pen provided at the NEET exam centre and fill answers on the official OMR sheet carefully as instructed.

    • Candidates should fill personal and exam details accurately on the NEET OMR sheet to avoid errors.

    • Engaging in cheating or unfair practices is strictly prohibited and can result in immediate disqualification from the examination.

    • Maintain complete silence inside the exam hall and follow all instructions given by invigilators to ensure a smooth examination process.
