The NEET 2026 Seat Matrix is the total number of seats available for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS and BSMS courses through NEET UG 2026 counselling. The seat matrix helps candidates understand the availability of seats in government, private, deemed and AYUSH colleges before filling their choices during counselling. As per the latest available data, there are currently over 2.23 lakh NEET UG seats. This includes 1,36,939 MBBS, 27,868 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, over 5,300 Veterinary (BVSc), and other course seats.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) publishes the seat matrix for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS and BDS seats, Deemed Universities, Central Universities, ESIC, AFMS and other participating institutes under MCC counselling. Whereas, the Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) publishes the seat matrix for 15% AIQ AYUSH seats, including BAMS, BHMS, BUMS and BSMS courses. The respective state counselling authorities publish the 85% State Quota Seat Matrix for MBBS, BDS and AYUSH admissions in their respective states.

The NEET 2026 AIQ Seat Matrix includes the seats available through the counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Candidates participating in MCC counselling can check the seat matrix to know the availability of seats in various participating institutes before choice filling. The NEET 2026 State Quota Seat Matrix includes seats available under the 85% state quota in government, private and AYUSH colleges. Each participating state publishes its own seat matrix through the respective state counselling authority. Candidates applying under the domicile criteria of a particular state should refer to the respective state's counselling website for the latest seat matrix before filling their choices.
