*Disclaimer: This expected rank vs marks for NEET PG 2025 is prepared by considering the exam analysis by students, difficulty level of exam, total number of appeared candidates and single shift this time. It is advised to candidates that this data is only for informative purposes and should not be considered as conclusive NEET PG marks vs rank 2025.
The marks vs rank distribution for NEET PG 2025 is affected by several factors, especially given the exam was reportedly easier this year. This can lead to higher overall scores and tighter competition. Some of the factors that can affect the NEET PG marks vs rank 2025 are as follows -
As per the students' reviews and experts' analysis, the NEET PG 2025 exam was easier. This can result in higher average marks across candidates, meaning that even slight differences in the marks can lead to significant gaps in the rank.
Example: In 2024, 725 marks secured rank 1, but in 2025, it is expected that rank 1 student might score higher marks due to the easier exam.
The total number of candidates (approximately 2 lakh in recent years) impacts rank distribution. A larger candidate pool increases competition, pushing ranks higher for similar marks.
As the exam is said to be easier this year, more candidates are expected to score in the 600–700 range, and hence making ranks for these marks less favorable. Last year the All India Rank for 600 marks was 3364, which can be higher this year.
In case two or more students score the same marks in NEET PG 2025 exam, a tie-breaking criteria is applied. This tie-breaking criteria can also affect the ranks of students in NEET PG 2025.

Hope it helps.
Hello,
With an All India rank of around 82,471 and UP state rank around 4,633 , your chances for MS Surgery in government colleges are very low. You may get a seat in private or deemed colleges , mainly in UP. Chances in other states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu are lower due to domicile rules and local quota preference.
Choice filling strategy:
Top: Private/deemed colleges in UP for Surgery.
Backup: Other clinical branches (Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmology) in private/deemed colleges.
Safe: Non-clinical or less competitive branches in private/deemed colleges.
Tips:
Check fees, bond, and stipend before choosing.
Be flexible with branch and college to secure a seat.
You have a non-zero chance if you focus on private/deemed colleges and plan your choices wisely.
Hope it helps !
Hello, in NEET PG 2025, if you get a government college seat, the monthly stipend is typically around Fifty thousand to Ninety Thousand Rupees with modest tuition fees, and a possible service bond of several lakhs depending on the state. Your rank of 82,471 may limit chances in the second round, and if allotted a seat in a private or deemed college, the fees are actually higher and also, the stipend or bond rules may differ. The exact details actually depend on the college and state quota that you secure. All the best!
