In a major security measure for Re NEET 2026, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has been deployed to transport confidential NEET 2026 question papers to 18 locations across the country. The initiative aims to ensure the safe and timely delivery of exam materials while preventing any possibility of paper leaks or tampering during transit. According to media reports, the IAF conducted nearly 200 sorties as part of the nationwide security arrangements ahead of the Re NEET 2026 exam.
One of the biggest changes for Re NEET 2026 is the increase in security arrangements at exam centres across the country. Local police and district administrations have been asked to maintain strict security both inside and outside the exam centres to prevent any disruption during the Re NEET 2026. All NEET 2026 exam centres will remain under CCTV surveillance throughout the re exam process. Authorities will closely monitor activities at the centres to ensure the exam is conducted transparently and securely. Special monitoring teams may also oversee the Re NEET exam in sensitive locations.
Ahead of the Re NEET 2026 exam, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan chaired a high level review meeting with senior officials from the NTA, central ministries and state governments. As part of the enhanced security measures for Re NEET 2026, the Central Government has temporarily suspended access to Telegram across India until June 22. Authorities believe that restricting the platform during the exam period will help prevent the circulation of rumours and maintain the integrity of the Re NEET 2026.

The NTA has also revised the NEET 2026 exam duration, providing candidates with an additional 15 minutes to complete the examination. As per the revised schedule, the Re NEET 2026 exam will now be conducted from 2 PM to 5: 15 PM, instead of the earlier duration of 2 PM to 5: 00 PM. The additional time has been provided to help candidates complete the question paper and fill the OMR answer sheet more comfortably.
To prevent impersonation and other unfair practices, candidates will undergo multiple rounds of identity verification at Re NEET exam centres. Students must carry their Re NEET 2026 admit card, a valid photo ID proof and other documents mentioned by NTA. Candidates whose identity cannot be verified may not be allowed to appear for the re-exam.

As of now, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Bihar, Odisha, Uttarakhand, and Andhra Pradesh have confirmed free travel facilities for eligible candidates on the Re NEET 2026 exam day.
The government has warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone involved in paper leaks, cheating, impersonation or spreading false information related to the Re NEET 2026.
