It was mandatory on the part of the candidates to register for the counselling of Tripura MBBS admission 2018 to be eligible for the subsequent rounds. The authority conducting Tripura MBBS BDS 2018 admission had started the process of online registration on June 25, 2018. The application form for Tripura MBBS 2018 was released in online mode. The last date of submission of Tripura MBBS application form 2018 was June 28, 2018. The application fee for Tripura MBBS 2018 is 600 INR for unreserved category and 300 INR for reserved category. The registration fee for other than state domicile is 1000 INR for unreserved and 500 INR for reserved. The mode of payment of application fee was offline through a demand draft of State Bank of India (S.B.I) in favour of Director of Medical Education, Government of Tripura, Agartala payable at Agartala.
The second round of counselling for Tripura MBBS 2018 was held on August 10, 2018 and the result of the same was declared on August 12, 2018. The counselling for Tripura MBBS BDS admission 2018 had started with the registrations for the first round of counselling. Candidates were able to register for Tripura MBBS BDS 2018 first round of counselling from June 25 to 28, 2018, and the choice filling for the first round was open from June 29 to July 2, 2018. During choice filling, candidates were required to fill in their choices according to their order of preference and will be allotted seats accordingly. The result of the first round of Tripura MBBS BDS counselling 2018 was published on July 4, 2018.

The merit list for Tripura MBBS 2018 was released on June 21, 2018. Tripura MBBS 2018 merit list has been prepared on the basis of NEET result 2018 only. Candidates whose names will be included in the Tripura MBBS merit list 2018 are eligible to participate in the online registration process of Tripura MBBS 2018. The merit list for Tripura MBBS 2018 contains details such as candidates’ names, NEET roll numbers, NEET scores, category, and state ranks.
Tripura MBBS Seat Reservation 2018
Candidates applying to Tripura MBBS 2018 must note that there is no quota for OBC in Tripura state, and thus candidates belonging to OBC will be considered under the Unreserved category. The state quota seats in the participating institutes of Tripura MBBS admission in 2018 have 15% of seats reserved for Scheduled Castes and 30% of seats reserved for Scheduled Tribes.
Tripura MBBS Admission 2018 – Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying to Tripura MBBS BDS 2018 admission must be Indian citizens.
The candidates must be of 17 years of age at least as on December 31, 2018.
- Candidates must not have exceeded 25 years in age as on May 7, 2018.
Candidates must be permanent residents of the state in order to be eligible for Tripura MBBS admission 2018. Either candidates or their parents must have resided for a period of at least 10 years prior to the date of release of the NEET Application Form 2018 for UG examination.
Candidates who are children of either All India service officers borne in Tripura cadre or employees of Tripura state government posted outside the state will be eligible irrespective of their prior stay period.
Candidates who are appearing in their class 12 examination from any institution in Tripura and are not permanent residents of Tripura but children of officer(s) on deputation to the Government of Tripura or Central Government officer(s) serving in the state government for a continuous period of three years are also eligible to apply for admission to Tripura MBBS 2018.
Candidates appearing for their Class 12 from any institution under Tripura Government who are not permanent residents but are children of ex-servicemen/defence personnel staying in Tripura for at least five years prior to the date of release of NEET UG application form.
Candidates must have passed Class 12 with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English from a board recognized by the Central/State government.
Candidates must have passed in each of the mentioned individual subjects securing a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (for unreserved category), 45% (for Physically Handicapped (PH), unreserved) and 40% (for the reserved category including PH reserved) in them.
Candidates must have secured the required minimum percentile in the NEET 2018 UG examination.
