Only candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria and submitting the online application form are included in the Tamil Nadu MBBS 2026 merit list. Candidates can secure MBBS admission through the management quota. Aspirants will have to fill the TN application form of management quota. Only domicile of Tamil Nadu candidates are eligible for the MBBS admission under management quota.
The following tie-breaking criteria will be used by DME to resolve ties and prepare the Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS merit list in case of two candidates have equal scores.
Candidates with higher marks in Biology will be given a higher position in the TN NEET rank list 2026
Aspirants obtaining higher scores in Chemistry will be awarded a higher rank in the merit list of Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS 2026
Applicants with fewer wrong answers in NEET 2026 will be allotted a better rank in the Tamil Nadu MBBS merit list
After publishing the merit list of Tamil Nadu NEET 2026, the authority conducts the counselling process. Candidates included in the Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS merit list are called for the counselling process. Tamil Nadu MBBS counselling is conducted in an offline mode. Three rounds of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2026 counselling including a mop-up round is held. During counselling of Tamil Nadu NEET 2026 students are asked to fill in their preferences of courses and colleges, based on which admission is granted.
