The NEET 2025 was reported to be the most difficult and lengthy exam ever. According to students, NEET Physics was harder and toughest amongst all sections. The NEET Physics question paper featured formula based time- consuming questions. Due to time management, it was tough to solve all the questions. LIke physics, Chemistry was also lengthy where major focus was given to organic and physical chemistry questions. Compared to previous years, Chemistry was time-consuming and challenging.
Biology was counted as moderate. Barring a few, all questions were predictable and NCERT based. The section was lengthy too but balanced. It is expected that the difficulty level in NEET question paper 2025 may impact overall NEET cutoff 2025 this year particularly for government medical colleges. Dr. Brajesh Maheshwari, Director, Allen Career Institute, analysed that the NEET 2025 paper was tougher compared to previous years. The questions were of high standard and lengthy. “Due to the implementation of the pre-covid pattern in the exam and the level of the paper being difficult, it can be said that scoring very high will be difficult for the students as compared to previous years,” said Maheshwari.
Students and experts expressed concerns over the difficulty level of the NEET UG 2025. Several users took to social media platform 'X'(formerly Twitter) to share their experience with the exam.
One user wrote, “Is it fair to make NEET Physics tougher than JEE, when it's a medical exam, not an engineering one? Last time results were timed with elections to cover up paper leaks. Now making the toughest NEET ever? Students deserve fairness, not politics.”

Another user wrote, “NEET UG 2025 was tougher this year, especially Physics. Such difficulty doesn’t align with the format of solving 180 questions in 180 minutes.”
"NEET 2025 is the toughest paper till now, surpassing NEET 2016,” wrote another user.

Hello aspirant,
It is possible to prepare for both JEE (Engineering) and NEET, particularly for Physics and Chemistry, which have a lot of syllabus overlap. However, it takes a lot of commitment, a well-thought-out PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths) study plan, concentrating on NCERT, and giving Math or Biology priority based on your primary interest because both exams require a lot of practice.
Thank you

Hi dear candidate,
Although NEET and paramedical courses (nursing, lab tech etc.) share same core subjects of PCB but the syllabus for NEET is NOT identical with that of paramedical exams as they require extra sections of GK and aptitude that is beyond NEET.

Hello Yashpal
Your plan to shift from online BCA to regular MCA is completely valid and acceptable. The gap years taken for NEET preparation will not affect MCA admission.
You should first try government colleges through exams like NIMCET or CUET-PG for better fees and placements. Top options include NITs, University of Hyderabad, JNU, and Delhi University.
If not, good private choices are VIT, Manipal, SRM, Amrita, and Christ University. Choose a college based on placements, fees, and industry exposure, not just the name.
Hope it helps you, and if you face any other query, you can raise your question directly. We are here to assist you with the best.
