The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Uttar Pradesh releases the UP NEET merit list for admission to undergraduate medical, dental, and AYUSH courses. The UP NEET 2026 merit list will be published in online mode at upneet.gov.in. The merit list will be prepared based on the scores obtained in the NEET 2026 marks. UP MBBS rank list is derived based on scores obtained in the NEET exam. Through the UP NEET merit list 2026, eligible aspirants will be granted admission to around 6428 MBBS and 2251 BDS seats offered by medical and dental colleges of the state. The result cum merit list for each round of counselling is released separately and mentions the UP MBBS state merit rank, name, roll number, father’s name, gender, category, marks obtained in NEET 2026, percentile and All India Rank of the particular applicant. For inclusion in the merit list of UP MBBS 2026, aspirants need to meet the NEET eligibility criteria. As specified by the authority, aspirants need to secure the NEET cutoff percentile and scores as declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA). In case the marks in the NEET result are the same, then the authority will follow the inter-se merit method below.
After the release of the merit list of UP MBBS 2026, the conducting authority declares the schedule for the document verification process. Candidates must report at the designated venue along with the relevant documents for verification purposes. In case anyone forgets any one of the documents, his/her candidature is cancelled. Check the sets of documents and photocopies that should be carried out for the verification process.
Once the UP NEET state merit rank is available and documents are verified, the eligible candidates are called for the UP MBBS counselling process. Aspirants are called for the counselling process based on UP NEET merit rank. To participate in the counselling process, registered aspirants have to provide their preferences of colleges to which they wish to get admission. Based on state merit rank, filled college choices, seat availability in the particular college, reservation criteria and other factors, admission to UP NEET 2026 is granted.
