BHU MBBS Merit List 2017: The merit list for Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu Univerversity (IMS BHU) has been declared by the Medical Counselling Committee on July 15, 2017. BHU MBBS BDS merit list 2017 has been formed on the basis of candidate’s score obtained in NEET 2017 and as per the choice made by them during the Deemed and Central University counselling conducted by the DGHS in online mode between July 7 and July 12. Admissions to 71 undergraduate medical dental seats have been determined through this first provisional seat allotment for which the process was carried out on July 13 and July 14. The merit list for Deemed and Central University counselling shows the list of candidates across categories who have been allotted seats in BHU MBBS BDS 2017 on the basis of their NEET All India Rank. Apart from AIR, the merit list includes details such as Allotted Quota, Allotted Institute, Course, Category Allotted and Candidate Category. Aspirants will be notified and called for BHU MBBS BDS counselling as per their rank in the merit list of BHU MBBS BDS 2017. There will be no separate entrance test conducted by IMS BHU so the merit list will be prepared on the candidates score in NEET 2017 for admission to its MBBS and BDS programmes. Candidates will be required to report at IMS BHU between July 16 and July 22 to complete their admission formalities.

The merit list of BHU MBBS BDS has been declared only for those candidates who have qualified NEET 2017 entrance exam. As per NEET 2017 cut off marks, candidates must obtain at least 50 percentile in NEET 2017 under Unreserved Category. Candidates under Persons with Disability (PWD) in unreserved category have to obtain 45 percentile and for Reserved and Persons with Disability (PWD) category the cut off marks is 40 percentile.

After the declaration made by Supreme Court to make NEET (UG) 2017 as a single qualifying examination for admissions to central, government, private, deemed institutions across India, all other institution or state level exams have been scrapped. On the basis of merit, allotment to 71 MBBS seats at IMS BHU has been done in the first round while allotment for 42 BDS seats is yet to be notified.
