DMER Full Form

DMER stands for "Directorate of Medical Education and Research." It is a government department or agency in Maharashtra responsible for overseeing and regulating medical education and research within the state.

DMER online application form

DMER Maharashtra grants Maharashtra MBBS/BDS admission on the basis of NEET-UG. Maharashtra PG medical admission is conducted on the basis of merit in NEET PG exam. Students have to fill the application form released at DMER website. Applications of only students fulfilling the eligibility criteria are accepted by DMER. The application form is to be submitted in an online mode. Aspirants can go through the below-mentioned steps in order to fill the DMER Mumbai admission form.

Steps to fill the UG/PG medical application form

  • Visit www.dmer.org

  • Register using name, DoB, nationality, address, mobile number, and email id

  • Login to their applicant portal using user id and password

  • After login, fill the personal, category, academic, and NEET details

  • Pay the application form fee using credit/debit card/net banking

  • Upload the required documents

  • Submit and take a printout of the confirmation page

DMER Maharashtra - Merit list

After closing the application process, DMER releases the Maharashtra NEET merit list at the DMER login official website. The merit list of DMER Maharashtra includes the names of students eligible for the further admission process. Only candidates whose applications are accepted are included in the merit list.

The DMER merit list for undergraduate courses mentions the candidate name, NEET rank, roll number, gender, category, category rank, region, NRI status, and other remarks. However, the merit list for postgraduate admissions contains details like candidate name, NEET PG roll number, state rank, and All India Rank. Aspirants whose names appear in the merit list are eligible to participate in the counselling conducted by DMER Mumbai.

DMER Maharashtra - Counselling

Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai conducts the NEET counselling for granting admission to UG/PG medical and dental courses. The DMER counselling is conducted only in an online mode. Three rounds of counselling are conducted including a mop-up round. Students included in the merit list can participate in the counselling by DMER.

During counselling, aspirants have to provide their preferences of college and courses admission. On the basis of choices filled, availability of seats, state merit rank, and other factors, DMER Maharashtra grants admission. Aspirants who are allotted seats have to report to the allotted institute to complete the admission process.

DMER Maharashtra - Cutoff

DMER Maharashtra is the competent authority to release the cutoff for both UG and PG medical admission in the state. DMER releases the NEET cutoff Maharashtra after conducting the counselling and seat allotment process. The cutoff comprises the last NEET rank and the equivalent scores at which admission to a particular college, course, and category is granted.

For the SC category , you need at least 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in Class 12 to be eligible. The minimum age required is 17 years , and there is no upper age limit .

You can fill the NEET form only through the official NTA website when the registration starts.
