One of the most surprising things about MP NEET PG Counselling 2025 in Round 1 is the large number of unallotted seats. Out of 2837 total seats to be filled in round 1, 1881 seats remained unfilled. The possible reasons for this large number of seats being unfilled in round 1 can be as following -
Pre-clinical and para-clinical branches such as Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, and Pharmacology saw very low preference.
Many students aim for central institutes, DNB seats, or prefer waiting for better options in further rounds and hence skips choice filling to avoid being allotted seats in round 1
Those satisfied with All India Quota (AIQ) results may not have confirmed their MP state allotments.
The 1881 unfilled seats provide an excellent opportunity for candidates for MP NEET PG admission 2025. Those who did not secure a seat or are waiting for a better branch/college combination. Many seats in clinical branches may open up due to the upgrade. Apart from this, due to low participation in the Pre and Para-clinical branches, the cutoffs may drop.

Hope it helps.
Hello,
With an All India rank of around 82,471 and UP state rank around 4,633 , your chances for MS Surgery in government colleges are very low. You may get a seat in private or deemed colleges , mainly in UP. Chances in other states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu are lower due to domicile rules and local quota preference.
Choice filling strategy:
Top: Private/deemed colleges in UP for Surgery.
Backup: Other clinical branches (Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmology) in private/deemed colleges.
Safe: Non-clinical or less competitive branches in private/deemed colleges.
Tips:
Check fees, bond, and stipend before choosing.
Be flexible with branch and college to secure a seat.
You have a non-zero chance if you focus on private/deemed colleges and plan your choices wisely.
Hope it helps !
Hello, in NEET PG 2025, if you get a government college seat, the monthly stipend is typically around Fifty thousand to Ninety Thousand Rupees with modest tuition fees, and a possible service bond of several lakhs depending on the state. Your rank of 82,471 may limit chances in the second round, and if allotted a seat in a private or deemed college, the fees are actually higher and also, the stipend or bond rules may differ. The exact details actually depend on the college and state quota that you secure. All the best!
