    • 10% of the seats are reserved for the category General-Economically Weaker Section (GEN-EWS)
    • 15% of the seats are reserved for the category Scheduled Caste (SC)
    • 7.5% for the category Scheduled Tribe (ST)
    • 27% for the category Other Backward Classes belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL)

    NEET Counselling Process 2026

    The NEET counselling 2026 process is conducted in online mode. Candidates wishing admission in MBBS, BDS or other undergraduate medical courses, have to register before the NEET counselling 2026 last date. A detailed step-by-step NEET counselling process 2026 can be checked below.

    Step 1: Online Registration
    Qualified candidates have to register on the official MCC counselling portal by entering your NEET 2026 application details and creating login credentials.
    Step 2: Payment of Counselling Fee
    Candidates have to pay the prescribed registration fee and security deposit online to complete the registration process.
    Step 3: Choice Filling And Locking
    After registration, candidates have to fill their preferred medical and dental colleges and courses in the order of their preference. Candidates must review and lock their choices before the deadline. Once locked, no further changes can be made.
    Step 4: NEET Counselling Seat Allotment
    The NEET counselling seat allotment result is announced based on the candidate's NEET rank, category, reservation policy, seat availability, and choices filled.
    Step 5: Download Allotment Letter
    Candidates allotted a seat must download the provisional seat allotment letter from the official website.
    Step 6: Reporting to the Allotted College
    Candidates are required to report to the allotted institute within the specified deadline for document verification, fee payment, and confirmation of admission. Candidates must carry the documents required for NEET 2026 counselling while reporting to the allotted colleges.
