There are 57 BUMS colleges in India, out of which 39 are private and 18 are owned by government authorities. The Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) course trains students about using traditional remedies to promote health and well-being. In this course, students learn about ancient Unani medicine and healing traditions. Candidates will study anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and surgery with a focus on traditional Unani treatments. Some of the BUMS colleges in India are Aligarh muslim University, Jamia Hamdard, Markaz unani medical college and hospital and many more.
Admission to top BUMS colleges in India is granted through the NEET UG exam. Candidates who qualified for the NEET exam are required to sit for the online NEET UG counselling. The eligibility criteria for getting admission to BUMS colleges in India are as follows -

Age Limit | Candidates must be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the year he/she is appearing. There is no upper age limit in NEET UG exam. |
Educational Qualification | Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English. |
Minimum Marks in Qualifying Exam | General category: 50%, OBC/SC/ST: 40%, PwD: 45% |
