The National Testing Agency conducts the NEET UG exam 2026 in offline mode using pen and paper. One of the common doubts most candidates have is, ‘Is pen allowed in NEET exam 2026? According to the NTA NEET exam day guidelines, candidates are not allowed to carry their own pen. At the NEET exam centre, the invigilator distributes the ballpoint pen to all the candidates provided by NTA.

Yes, NEET is not mandatory for admission to Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) for the academic year 2026-27. However, from 2027-28 session, NEET UG will be compulsory for admission to BPT course.
