In West Bengal, the West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) conducts the counseling process for 85% of the seats available in the state. The other 15% of the seats are part of the All India Quota (AIQ), which is organised by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Recently, there has been a decrease in the NEET UG cutoff, affecting both the qualifying scores and the admission cutoffs for different colleges in the state.
The data of West Bengal NEET UG counselling indicates that the NEET cutoff in West Bengal has decreased compared to the previous years. Admission cutoffs for top government medical colleges like Medical College Kolkata and RG Kar Medical College have reportedly decreased by 10-20 marks compared to 2023.
