Even before considering applying for Tripura NEET admission, candidates have to go through the basic eligibility criteria set by the authority for MBBS as well as BDS admission.

• An aspirant should be an Indian citizen.

• Candidates should be at least 17 years old as on December 31, 2026.

• An aspirant should be a domicile of Tripura or his/her parents must have resided in the state for a period of at least 10 years to the date of the release of NEET application form.

• Aspirants who are children of either All India service officers born in Tripura cadre or employees of parents who are serving in the Tripura Government are eligible for Tripura NEET admission 2026.

• Also, those aspirants who are appearing in Class 12 from any institution and are not permanent residents of Tripura. However, children of the officers in the Government of Tripura or Central Government serving in the state for a continuous period of three years can also fill the Tripura NEET application form 2026.

• Those candidates who are not a domicile of the state, however, are the children of ex-servicemen/defence staying in Tripura for at least five years at the release of the application form of NEET UG.

• Candidates belonging to the General category must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with 50% taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as the principal subjects. For SC/ST/OBC and PH candidates, the minimum passing percentage is 40% and 45% individually for Class 12.

• Aspirants should also know that it is important to secure the NEET cutoff percentile to be eligible for admission. General category aspirants must secure at least 50th percentile, whereas, SC/ST/OBC and PwD candidates are required to secure 40th and 45th percentile, individually.
