    Who is an OCI?

    Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are individuals of Indian origin who hold citizenship of another country but have been granted special status by the Government of India. The OCI card allows them to live and work in India, along with other benefits such as visa-free travel to India. However, OCIs are not considered Indian citizens and are subject to specific rules and regulations when it comes to education and employment in India.

    NEET eligibility criteria for OCI candidates

    OCI candidates are eligible to appear for NEET UG exam. The following NEET eligibility criteria must be met by the OCI candidates to be eligible for the NEET 2025 exam -

    • The minimum age of the candidate must be 17 years as of December 31, 2025. There is no upper age restrictions in NEET exam.

    • The candidate must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.

    • OCI candidates are required to possess a valid OCI card issued by the Government of India.

    • OCI candidates are eligible for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats

    How OCI candidates can apply for NEET 2025

    The application process for NEET is the same for OCI candidates as it is for Indian nationals. Here are the key steps:

    1. NEET UG 2025 registration

    Candidates need to visit the NEET 2025 official website, neet.nta.nic.in and complete the registration process by providing their email ID and generating a password, and OCI card information

    2. Filling the NEET application form 2025

    Candidates need to fill in their details such as personal, academic, and contact details. Candidates are also required to upload scanned copies of NEET documents required, including the OCI card, photograph, and signature. The scanned photos should be as per the NEET 2025 photo size requirements.

    3. Payment of NEET form fees

    Candidates need to pay the application fee of NEET 2025 online. The NEET application fee for OCI candidates is Rs.9,500
