NEET 2018 consisted of 180 questions asked from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). It was held out of a total of 720 marks, with every correct response being awarded 4 marks and every incorrect response getting a penalty of one mark. NEET 2018 Exam Analysis by Career Point

Marking Scheme of NEET 2018 – How to calculate score?

Candidates can calculate their marks on the basis of NEET marking scheme 2018. To calculate the score of NEET 2018 as per the answer key of NEET 2018 by Career Point, match the responses marked in the exam with the answer key as released by Career Point. Candidates can use the table of marking scheme given below to calculate their NEET score.

{Number of correct responses x 4 – Number of incorrect responses x 1}

NEET 2018 results will be declared by June 5, 2018, tentatively. Before the declaration of NEET result, CBSE will also release the official answer key of NEET 2018 and candidates’ NEET 2018 OMR sheets. Candidates will be allowed to challenge the answers as given in the official answer key and as marked in OMR sheet. The NEET 2018 answer key by Career Point can also be referred to by the candidates in case it is felt that there is any discrepancy in the answers marked by them and as given in NEET official answer key 2018.

As per the qualifying criteria of NEET 2018, candidates will be required to score equal to or more than NEET cutoff criteria. As per the cutoff of NEET 2018, candidates belonging to General category will be required to score equal to or more than 50th percentile, while those belonging to SC/ST category will be required to score at least 40th percentile in order to qualify NEET. The corresponding cutoff marks of percentiles will be released along with the result of NEET 2018.
