The NEET 2025 registration start date February 7, 2025. The NEET 2025 registrations have been started online on the official website. Eligible candidates who fulfil the NEET eligibility criteria are allowed to register for the exam. Along with the NEET registrations, the official NEET UG exam schedule 2025 has also been released. Candidates have to fill the NEET application form 2025 within the stipulated time and date. The authority opens the NEET correction window to allow registered candidates to make corrections in the application form.
The NEET exam pattern has changed. In a notice released on January 25, the NTA has clarified that there will be no Section B in NEET. The exam duration will be 3 hours only. A total of 180 questions will be asked in the NEET with no choice of optional questions.
The NTA has announced that NEET UG 2025 will be conducted in offline mode. The exam will be held in a single day shift where students have to mark their answers in the OMR sheet. With the announcement of NEET exam mode, the speculations about the online shift of NEET 2025 has ended. The expert committee headed by the former ISRO Chairman Dr K Radhakrishnan recommended NEET 2025 to be conducted online. However, on January 16, the conducting body sidelined the expert committee’s recommendations and clarified that NEET will be held in pen and paper mode.

The NTA has asked aspirants to use their NEET APAAR ID and Aadhaar-based authentication during the NEET registration process. As per the NEET 2025 NTA latest notice released on January 14, the authority has asked students to complete the NEET Aadhaar card verification online before the registration process starts. For the smooth conduct of the registration process, the NTA releases the NEET registration aadhaar guidelines for the candidates who are appearing for the NEET exam. However, their aadhaar cards must be linked with a valid mobile number for OTP-based authentication.

The NMC has released the NEET syllabus 2025. The syllabus for NEET UG 2025 is available for all students on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. On December 30, in an official notice, NTA released that the syllabus pdf of NEET 2025 has been finalised by the UGMEB and NMC. The syllabus of NEET UG 2025 covers topics from subjects including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. A total of 200 MCQs will be asked in the exam in a time duration of 3 hours and 20 minutes. The total marks in NEET 2025 is 720.
