PGIMER Result 2020 - Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh will declare PGIMER 2020 result today in online mode. As per the norm, the result of PGIMER 2020 is released in 24 hours after the conclusion of the exam, however, this time it has been changed to a week's time. A merit list of PGIMER 2020 January session will be prepared of all qualified candidates who will be eligible to participate in the selection process. PGIMER result 2020 will be released in PDF format which will bear crucial information like the name of candidates, percentile score, overall rank, category rank, and the category. Candidates who will secure the minimum required percentile as declared by the exam conducting authority will be considered to have cleared the entrance examination. The cutoff percentile for PGIMER 2020 for general category candidates along with sponsored/deputed candidates is 55th percentile, SC/ST/OBC category and candidate belonging to rural areas will have to secure 50th percentile to qualify the exam and Bhutanese nationals will be required to secure 45th percentile to clear the exam. After the declaration of result, qualified candidates will be able to download the individual scorecard which is likely to be released in the second week of December 2019. Candidates can check the below-mentioned steps to download the PGIMER 2020 scorecard.

The PGIMER result 2020 and the scorecard will appear on the screen containing candidate’s roll number, name of the candidate, category percentile, overall rank and category rank.

In order to qualify the PGIMER 2020 January session, candidates will have to secure the prerequisite qualifying percentile. Those candidates who will not secure the minimum qualifying percentile will not be included in the result of PGIMER 2020 and thus such candidates will not be considered eligible for admission process. The qualifying percentile is different for each category which can be checked in the table below.

A total of 250 questions were asked in PGIMER 2020 for which five alternate responses will be provided, each. After the calculation of raw scores, with consideration of negative marks, the percentile score of an individual candidate is enumerated applying a normalisation method.
The formula used for calculating the raw score for PGIMER result is given below-
Percentage score = [x/a-y/b]*100, where:
'x' and 'y' are correct and incorrect responses marked by candidates respectively.
'a' and 'b' are correct responses and incorrect responses in the exam respectively.
The formula used for calculating the percentile score for PGIMER result can be checked below-
Percentile score = [(B+(0.5*E))/N]*100, where:
B is the number of scores below the candidate's score.
E is the number of scores equal to the candidate's score.
N is the number of candidates appearing for the exam.
The result of PGIMER will be released in the form of merit list. The competent authority will release a total of nine category-wise merit list. These merit lists contain only the name of such candidates who have qualified. The various categories of which separate merit list is published has been mentioned below.

In order to resolve a tie in the inter-se merit for selection, tie-breaking criteria will be applied. If two or more candidates who have secured equal percentile scores then a candidate will be shortlisted on the following criteria.
Candidates who have obtained higher aggregate marks in MBBS examination shall rank higher to a candidate who has obtained lower marks.
If the tie still persists a candidate senior in age shall rank higher to a candidate who is junior in age. An overall merit list based on the percentile obtained by all the candidates appearing in the examination in the theory examination (irrespective of their category) will be prepared

PGIMER application form 2020 was available in online mode from October 26 to November 14, 2019. The competent authority has also introduced several changes for the upcoming entrance test of PGIMER. As per the new changes, timings of examination have been changed from 9:00 AM - 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. For the first time, PGIMER 2020 will be conducted in the computer-based mode on November 30, 2019.

Check the guideline from the board for attesting part. but it is not needed as document verification will be done by the end. if any one has false document will be rejected then and there. still check it from the information broucher provided to you while filling the form.
Normally in any entrance they don't say to attest it. if any original document is not there then they are attested from the institution to prove that they are verified. Better to make it clear so check it.
