    The National Testing Agency, NTA, has officially cancelled NEET UG 2026 on May 12. The UG medical exam was held on May 3 for over 22 lakh students. Now since there will be a re exam, many are searching for 2015 re NEET date as the exam date of AIPMT (Now NEET) was May 3, similar to this year's exam date. Similarly, in 2024 there was a re NEET exam and hence students are now correlating these previous instances with re NEET 2026 exam.

    As per experts, the Re-NEET 2026 expected date is June. The decision to cancel NEET UG has been taken after reviewing investigation reports and inputs from central agencies regarding the NEET 2026 paper leak.     The Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada, has published the Andhra Pradesh National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) rank list for candidates eligible to participate in the state's 85 percent quota counselling. Around 33,220 candidates have been declared eligible for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses.

    Listed below are the major reasons why NTA cancelled NEET UG 2026.

    • NEET UG 2026 was cancelled after NTA reviewed investigation reports and inputs shared by central agencies and law enforcement authorities.
    • The agency found issues in the exam process that could affect the fairness and transparency of the NEET 2026 exam.
    • According to NTA, the current NEET UG 2026 exam process "could not be allowed to stand" after the findings received during the investigation.
    • The matter has now been handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI for a detailed inquiry into the allegations related to NEET.
    • NTA said the decision was taken in the interest of students and to ensure a fair and secure NEET UG 2026 re-exam process.
    • The agency also stated that cancelling the exam was necessary to avoid bigger damage to the credibility of the NEET examination system.
    • NTA has advised students and parents to trust only official updates and avoid fake news or unverified social media reports about NEET UG 2026.

    Re-NEET 2026 Expected Date

    After the cancellation of the UG exam, students are now searching for the Re-NEET 2026 expected date. While NTA has yet to announce the official Re-NEET 2026 exam date, reports and past trends suggest that the re-exam could be held in June 2026.
