However, there is no official confirmation on this notice either by NBE or NMC, and candidates are advised to wait for the official notification. NBEMS has always surprised students with its irregular exam dates, and it seems to be that way for the NEET PG 2025 too. Read the full article to know comprehensive details about when can we expect NEET PG 2025.
December 5, 2024: As per an NMC notice circulating on social media, the NEET PG 2025 exam can be conducted on June 15, 2025. However, there has been no official update regarding it.
It is expected that the NEET PG 2025 exam will be conducted in March 2025 or later. However, the delayed NEET PG 2024 counselling process may postpone the exam date further. This is also evident from the fact that NBEMS in its exam calendar announced the tentative exam dates of all exams, except for NEET PG 2025. Students are advised to stay updated with the NEET PG 2025 news updates to keep themselves updated with the latest happenings around the biggest postgraduate medical entrance exam in India.
The NBEMS announces the exam date of NEET PG well in advance and releases the complete schedule in its information brochure. The expected NEET PG 2025 schedule is provided here.

There is a high chance that the NEET PG 2025 will not be conducted in March 2025. The main reason behind this is the delayed ongoing counselling of NEET PG 2024. As per the MCC’s schedule of NEET PG counselling 2024, the counselling will end on January 30, 2025. Also, as per the exam calendar of NBE, the NEET SS 2024 is already scheduled in March 2025.
Another reason is that generally there is a minimum of 2-month gap between the announcement of dates and the exam as there are several events in the NEET PG exam such as registration, correction window for changing details, correction window for images rectification, and release of admit card. Even if NBEMS announces the NEET PG 2025 exam date in February and starts the registration process, it will take around 2 months to complete all the pre-exam processes involved in NEET PG 2025, making it highly unlikely that the exam will be in March 2025.
The expected date of NEET PG 2025 is June 15, 2025. The NBE will release the notification of NEET PG 2025 only once the 2024 counselling is over. The authority will declare the exam date and release the information brochure of NEET PG 2025 in February 2025.
As the pre-exam process of NEET PG usually takes a minimum of 2 months, and with NEET SS 2024 being scheduled in March itself, May 2025 looks like the most feasible date for NEET PG 2025 exam. Similar to the NEET PG 2022, the authority might conduct the exam in May, 2025.
The NBEMS is known for its surprising exam dates of NEET PG exam in the past years. In 2022, the NEET PG 2022 exam date was in May, followed by the counselling of NEET PG 2021 which ended in February - March. The year wise exam date of NEET PG exam is mentioned below.
NEET PG year | Exam date |
2024 | August 11, 2024 |
2023 | March 5, 2023 |
2022 | May 21, 2022 |
2021 | Septembe 11, 2021 |
2020 | January 5, 2020 |
