Preparing for the NEET exam without coaching is possible if students follow the correct NEET Preparation tips, along with consistency and a study plan. Many NEET toppers have proved that this exam can be cleared by doing self-study, if done correctly. Given below are some of the practical tips that students can follow to make their preparation more effective, along with tips to crack NEET in the First Attempt.

Make a NEET study timetable- Having a well-structured and personalised timetable allows students to manage their time effectively. It divides the time for all three subjects equally for studying, and according to the NEET revision strategy, for practising the previous year's NEET question papers. By following a timetable at home, students become disciplined and consistent.

Refer to trusted NEET preparation books- If aspirants are doing NEET preparation without coaching, it becomes very essential that they study from the best books for NEET preparation. Avoid using too many books as it will create the confusion and also waste a lot of time. Students are advised to firstly focus on the NCERT books for NEET as large portion in the exam comes from this only.

Prepare with NEET mock tests at home- After completing the syllabus of both years, start the preparation for NEET using mock tests at least 2-3 times a week. It gives a complete idea of the topics and concepts that the students have studied and how to apply them in the exam. By taking mock tests, they can get familiar with the question pattern, and after the scores, it becomes easier to identify the mistakes and work on them.

Work on weaker sections- After taking mock tests at home, recognise the weak areas and subjects that require more practice and attention, and work on them first. These topics cannot be left to be studied last, as this will create more stress and confusion during the most important hours. Avoiding the most common NEET mistakes is also very important for students doing NEET preparation without coaching to achieve success.

Positive attitude- Students who are thinking about how to prepare for NEET at home, the most important tip that an aspirant can follow is to stay motivated and positive throughout the journey.
