The Madhya Pradesh Department of Medical Education (DME) has released the list of candidates who have been banned from the state’s mop-up and subsequent counselling rounds. All these candidates have already been allotted a seat in the MCC’s All India round 3 counselling. This ban follows the MCC’s notice of October 28, 2025 which directs the state counselling authorities to filter AIQ round 3 joiners from the upcoming rounds of state counselling.

What does the MCC notice say?

MCC instructed all state counselling authorities to remove the AIQ Round-3 joined candidates before processing their upcoming state counselling rounds. This is mainly because there is no provision of seat resignation from the AIQ round 3 and hence, candidates already holding a seat in AIQ are not allotted any seat through state counselling.

MP state combined UG counselling 2025: What the DME list contains?

The MP DME list mentions the details of 416 students who have been restricted from participating in the mop-up and further rounds of MP NEET counselling 2025. This list is prepared based on the MCC’s round 3 NEET counselling seat allotment, where these 416 students have already been allotted a seat.

Why does the decision matter?

This decision stops candidates from holding seats in both the All India Quota (AIQ) and MP state counselling at the same time. Several candidates who have been allotted seats in AIQ counselling often hold their seat and participate in the state counselling simultaneously in hope of a better seat in the state counselling. However, due to this several seats remain blocked and the counselling process extends further. This move intends to bring fairness for both AIQ and state counselling aspirants by preventing the unnecessary blocking of seats.

Impact on AIQ and state counselling candidates

Such candidates, who have been banned from the state counselling due to AIQ Round-3 joining should note that there is no-resignation policy in the round 3. This means they are bound to join their AIQ seats and won’t be allotted any seats in the mop-up and upcoming counselling rounds, even if they try to participate in these rounds of Madhya Pradesh NEET counselling 2025.

MP NEET UG counselling 2025: What should candidates do?

Candidates who are going to take part in the Mop-up and upcoming future rounds of MP NEET UG counselling should verify their roll numbers with the DME list that has been published to check their eligibility for the mop-up and upcoming counselling rounds.

Hello

With a NEET score of 490 in the OBC category, getting a low-fees government MBBS seat is difficult because cutoffs usually go higher.
But you may still get chances in some private, semi-government, or low-fee state private colleges, depending on your state and counselling rounds.
Many students with similar scores get seats in later rounds or through the state quota if competition is lower.
BDS, BHMS, BAMS, or allied-health courses are also good low-fee options if MBBS doesn’t fit.
If your aim is strictly government MBBS, a reattempt next year can increase your chances a lot.

Hope this information will help you.

Hello aspirant,

For NEET, you must select your central government category, not the state category. Jaat from Uttar Pradesh is counted as General in the central list because this caste is not included in the Central OBC list. Even though you may fall under OBC at the state level, NEET uses only the central list for reservation. So, in the NEET application, you should fill General category to avoid any issues during counselling or document verification.

Hello aspirant,

With a rank of 1760 in the NTRUHS PG management quota (B-category) and belonging to the AU region, getting a clinical seat is possible but mostly in the mid or lower-demand branches. High-demand clinical courses like Radiology, Dermatology and General Medicine generally close at much lower ranks, but seats in branches such as ENT, Opthalmology, Psychiatry, Anesthesia or General Surgery may still be available depending on this year's vacancy movement during later rounds. Keep track of round - wise allotments for clearer chances.
