MP MBBS Admission 2018 – The Department of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh has released the counselling results for the second round of MP MBBS 2018 admission on August 15, 2018. The process of admission to MP MBBS 2018 was resumed for the second round of counselling by opening up online resignations from August 2 to August 4, 2018. The counselling for admission to MP MBBS 2018 was put on hold as per the interim orders of the Bombay High Court, Nagpur Bench on July 20, 2018. DME started the process of MP MBBS 2018 admission with the release of application form on June 15, 2018. Candidates needed to compulsorily fill up the application form of MP MBBS 2018 in order to be eligible for the process of admission. The candidates who had filled up the MP MBBS application form 2018 and secured the qualifying percentile in the NEET UG 2018 examination were included in the merit list of MP MBBS 2018 released on June 26, 2018. The option to make changes to the application form was made available earlier only for candidates who have submitted MP MBBS BDS application form 2018.
DME is the conducting body for admission of MP MBBS 2018 for the 85% state quota seats. The DME had released the admission FAQs as well as the proforma and affidavits for NEET UG Madhya Pradesh counselling 2018 on June 14, 2018. The tentative seat matrix had been earlier published on June 12, 2018. Admissions through MP MBBS 2018 will be conducted for a total of 1750 medical seats and 1164 dental seats in the government as well as private colleges. Counselling for MP MBBS admission 2018 started from June 27 to June 30, 2018, for the first round.

MP MBBS 2018 admission is taken on the basis of NEET 2018 UG score and the preferences of the candidate while filling up the online choices for counselling. Candidates, thus, were required to fill in the choices according to the NEET scores. Counselling Schedule for MP MBBS 2017 candidates of R.K.D.F Medical College

As per the interim orders of the Supreme Court, admission of 150 students to the MBBS course in R.K.D.F medical college in the year 2017-18 stands cancelled. These students, however, were permitted to take admission in the other six private medical colleges in the state of Madhya Pradesh. A revised counselling schedule and procedure was announced for these 150 students, the details of which are provided below.

MP MBBS BDS Admission 2018 – Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates seeking admission to MP MBBS BDS 2018 must be Indian citizens.

  • The candidates should at least be 17 years of age as on December 31, 2018.

  • The age of the candidates must not be more than 25 years as on May 7, 2018.
  • Candidates must be domicile of the state of Madhya Pradesh in order to be eligible for MP MBBS BDS 2018 admission.

  • For candidates who are wards of freedom fighters, defence personnel/All India Government service employees serving in Madhya Pradesh, the criteria of domicile for MP MBBS admission 2018 is not mandatory.

  • The candidates must have passed the Class 12 board exam with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English

  • The candidates are also required to score a minimum of 50% marks aggregate (for unreserved category), 40% (for reserved category), 45% (for unreserved Physically handicapped category) in the subjects mentioned.

  • Candidates must also score the required minimum percentile in the NEET 2018 UG examination to be considered eligible for MP MBBS 2018 admission.

MP MBBS BDS Admission 2018 – Application Form

The application form of MP MBBS BDS 2018 admission had been released on June 15, 2018. The MP MBBS BDS application form 2018 was released in the online mode only. The last date to apply for MP MBBS admission 2018 was June 25, 2018. Candidates needed to register themselves on the official website of MP MBBS 2018 before starting to fill the application form. The application fee for all categories is INR 1000. The candidates who have registered themselves and want to make changes in the application form were able to do so until June 25 midnight. The candidates were required to save the changes they have made, otherwise, their changes were not considered. It was a one-time correction facility, therefore, candidates could only make all the necessary changes once. 

 

MP MBBS BDS Merit List 2018

The DME had released the merit list of MP MBBS BDS admission on June 26, 2018. MP MBBS BDS 2018 merit list is derived from the merit list published by CBSE prepared on the basis of NEET UG score. Candidates whose names are included in the MP MBBS BDS merit list 2018 were eligible to attend the counselling sessions. Merit list of MP MBBS 2018 includes the names, NEET roll number, NEET score, All India Rank, Madhya Pradesh state rank, and category of the candidates.

 

MP MBBS BDS Admission 2018 – Seat Reservation

Seat reservation is done for the state quota seats of MP MBBS BDS 2018 admission. The seats reserved for various categories in MP MBBS BDS 2018 include 19% for Scheduled Tribe, 16% for theScheduled Caste, and 13% for the other backward classes. There is a horizontal reservation of 3% each for the Government of India and Physically handicapped, and 2% each for wards of freedom fighters and military personnel across all categories. The private medical and dental colleges have 15% of seats reserved for the NRI quota instead of the All India Quota.

 

MP MBBS BDS Counselling 2018

The results of the second round of counselling for MP MBBS 2018 have been declared. Earlier, the process of MP MBBS 2018 counselling was reopened for online resignation till August 4, 2018 (5.00 pm). Online choice filling and locking for the second round of counselling for MP MBBS 2018 is open till August 11, 2018 (12.00 pm). MP MBBS counselling 2018 was earlier put on hold as per the interim orders of the Bombay High Court, Nagpur Bench on July 20, 2018. The counselling for MP MBBS BDS 2018 admission started on June 27 until June 30, 2018. MP MBBS BDS admission 2018 will be taken on merit cum preference basis. Counselling of MP MBBS BDS 2018 is held in the online mode. The candidates are provided with the list of medical and dental colleges on the online portal, wherein they can choose the institutes in the order of their preference. Candidates are required to lock their choices on or before the last date or else the choices get locked automatically.
