• For appearing in NEET SS, aspirants are required to hold a postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) or any equivalent examination.
• Aspirants who complete their Postgraduate degree are eligible to apply for NEET SS 2026 Candidates without a degree will not be allowed to fill out the application form.
• Applicants must have a provisional or permanent registration certificate issued by the State Medical Council (SMC) or Medical Council of India (MCI), which they must also furnish at the time of examination.

Foreign nationals who wish to take the NEET SS examination for admission to a particular speciality can fulfil certain eligibility criteria:

• MCI registration certificate is not required by the Non-Resident Indians to appear for NEET SS but they need to be registered with the respective medical authority of their country.
• Temporary registration will be provided to such candidates till the duration of the postdoctoral degree after qualifying for the exam.
• This registration will be limited to the college/institution to which anyone gets admission into.

Step 1 - NEET SS registration 

In this step, aspirants need to register themselves by visiting the official website. Then, click on the new registration tab and enter your personal, contact details as well as the captcha code. Verify the details mentioned in the NEET SS application form and submit it. A confirmation message will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID mentioning the user ID and password.

Step 2 - Filling NEET SS 2026 application form

Using the login credentials, user ID and password, aspirants need to log in to their NEET SS applicant portal. Thereafter, click on the link to fill NEET SS application form and enter the personal, academic, contact and other information. It is important to enter the details carefully.

Step 3 - Uploading the documents and choosing exam centres

Step 4 - Payment of application fees

Once the application process for NEET SS 2026 is over, aspirants need to pay the application fees of Rs. 4250 irrespective of all categories in online mode through credit/debit cards and net banking. NEET SS 2026 admit card is released for candidates whose application forms are accepted by the authority. It is important to download the NEET SS admit card 2026 as it should be carried along with other documents at the time of examination and during the counselling process. 

To download NEET SS admit card 2026 aspirants need to submit their User ID and password as provided by filling out the application form. NEET SS 2026 admit card will be displayed on the screen mentioning the name of candidates, roll number, application number, date of birth, the speciality chosen, exam date, time of exam, exam centre name and address and other exam day guidelines to be followed

NBE announces the NEET SS 2026 result for all 32 specialities in online mode. Candidates who have successfully appeared for the entrance exam can download NEET SS 2026 results online. Aspirants need to secure the prescribed NEET SS criteria set by NBE. 

NEET SS 2026 result includes the roll number of candidates, marks obtained out of 600 and NEET SS rank secured in the entrance exam. NEET SS result PDF must be saved for future reference. The result of NEET SS 2026 will be valid for the particular year of admission. Candidates who wish to take admission through NEET SS results in DM/MCh courses will not be able to take admission for the next academic session.

The counselling of NEET SS 2026 will be conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for admission to 2447 DM and MCh seats. A total of two rounds will be conducted wherein, candidates will be required to register for each round separately. After the NEET SS counselling registration process for each round, aspirants will need to provide their preferences of colleges as well as specializations into which they wish to take admission. On the basis of these preferences, NEET SS rank, seat availability, reservation criteria and other factors, the seat allotment of NEET SS 2026 will be done. 

Once the seats will be allotted, shortlisted candidates will need to report at the respective college for completion of the admission process and document verification. Before reporting at the colleges, aspirants will need to download the NEET SS allotment letter indicating the personal details, category rank, date and time to report at the colleges. In case, if the candidate is not satisfied with the allotted college, he/she can opt an option for withdrawal/refusal and can appear for NEET SS counselling subsequent rounds.
