NEET SS Admit Card Date:22 Dec' 25 - 22 Dec' 25
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has postponed the NEET SS 2025 exam date from its previously scheduled date of December 27 & 28. Now the NEET SS exam 2025 will be conducted on December 26 and 27, 2025. Earlier, due to the delay in the NEET SS 2025 application form, it was expected that the exam will be postponed.
Given that the usual pre-examination procedures of NEET SS 2025 will take approximately two months, completing the entire process within the remaining timeframe is "highly unlikely”. Aspirants can expect an official notification from the NBEMS regarding the NEET SS 2025 exam date postponed from the authority soon. Aspirants can check the complete details and reasons on why a postponement is likely to happen.
Generally, the NBEMS schedule for NEET SS exam follows the release of the information bulletin 4 to 6 weeks prior to the examination, which is followed by the commencement of registrations. The NEET SS application form 2025 window generally lasts for a period of 18 to 28 days. This is then followed by an initial edit window, followed by a final window for image corrections. After that, the issuance of the city intimation slip and admit cards takes almost 1 week before the examination.
Now with only around a half month remaining, commencing all these pre-exam processes of the NEET SS 2025 is very unlikely and hence the NBEMS has decided to postpone the exam.
Event | Typical window |
Information Bulletin release | 4-6 weeks before exam |
Registration start | Same day as bulletin or within 24-72 hours |
Registration window open | 18-28 days |
Basic edit/correction window | 3-5 days after registration closes; runs for 3-4 days |
Final image correction window | Immediately after basic correction window; 2-3 days |
City intimation slip | 4-5 days before exam |
Admit card release | 3-4 days before exam |
Exam days | 2 days |
The NBEMS has released a notice on the postponement of NEET SS exam 2025. The exam date of NEET SS 2025 has been revised as December 26 and 27, 2025.
Year | Original schedule | Reason for postponement | Revised date |
| 2025 | Planned for November 7 and 8, 2025 | Due to the application form delay, the exam is postponed | NEET SS exam 2025 will be conducted on December 26 and 27, 2025 |
2024 | Planned for 2024 session (date not conducted) | NMC postponed the NEET SS exam because of the alignment with COVID‑delayed MD/MS/DNB 2021 batches | Rescheduled and was conducted on March 29 - 30, 2025. |
2023 | September 9 - 10, 2023. | G20 Summit in New Delhi and associated travel/security restrictions. | Postponed to later dates notified subsequently by the authorities. |
