While the business of coaching itself has led to furious debate, over the years, Kota’s coaching institutes have produced many successful candidates who qualified NEET and other major entrance exams. One or more of its institutes is sure to have representation among the NEET “toppers” each year.

Some coaching institutes also offer special deals for students who were unable to clear the NEET on their first attempt and are trying again. The longest programmes typically last two years.
Almost every coaching institute also has deals with local schools that allow students to enroll and sit for exams without insisting on attendance. The schools cost extra and are paid for by students.

Most of the PGs and hostels provide food, laundry and room services. However, those who do not want to take food from their PG/hostel can eat outside.

Those who stay in rented flats are mostly from affluent families because rents are very high and additional expenses like expenses on electricity, water, laundry, room cleaning etc. are also incurred.
Food can be from the hostel mess or tiffin or mess services outside.
A flat with a single room costs around Rs 8,000 - Rs 10,000 per month and flats with two or three rooms cost around Rs 15,000 - Rs 20,000 per month. So, most students prefer to stay in groups so that the expenses are shared. The average expense of a student living in a rented flat is in the range of Rs 13,000 - Rs 15,000 per month.
